Crime Newlywed's Tragic End: Husband Arrested After Fatal Row

In Sri Racha, a young couple's heated argument turned fatal, leading to a tragic incident that shocked the community. On Monday, June 23, police responded to a distress call at a rented flat in Moo 5, Khao Khansong, where they discovered 21-year-old Nannaphat Wandi from Udon Thani dead. She had suffered multiple stab wounds.

 

Neighbors reported hearing intense shouting before witnessing Nannaphat's husband, 22-year-old Supachai Sricharoen, speeding away on a motorbike toward Rayong. The couple had been married for just over a year.

 

A manhunt ensued, and officers from Bowin Police Station, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Somkid Yanphan, found Supachai hiding in a nearby pineapple field. He had abandoned his motorbike and was arrested without resistance.

 

Visibly shaken, Supachai admitted to the crime, stating, "We argued because of stress from work. I lost control." He confessed to stabbing his wife multiple times in a moment of panic.

 

The suspect was taken to Bowin Police Station for further questioning and will face legal proceedings for murder. Investigators are collecting witness statements and forensic evidence to support their case.

 

This tragic event adds to a string of troubling incidents in Sri Racha. Recently, a defrocked monk in the district was accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl. Further allegations from a 16-year-old boy have surfaced, claiming abuse and bribery attempts.

 

The boy's mother expressed concerns for their safety, as the monk’s followers were reportedly monitoring their home.

 

As violence and scandal rise in the once-peaceful coastal town, residents are left questioning the underlying issues affecting Sri Racha.
