Crime Mother Reports Son to Police After Alleged Cannabis-Induced Attack on Nephew

An incident unfolded in Uthai Thani Province when an elderly woman reported her own son to police after he allegedly attacked his nephew with a machete while under the influence of cannabis, causing serious injuries.

 

The attack occurred on 29June, at a residence in Moo 2, Nam Rob subdistrict, Lan Sak district. Officers from Lan Sak Police Station, led by Pol. Sub Lt. Chanchai Nunpong, responded to the emergency call and rushed to the scene, where they found 29-year-old Mr Worawut, the nephew of the alleged assailant, with severe arm injuries. He was taken to Lan Sak Hospital.

 

The suspect, identified as 61-year-old Mr Manoch, had reportedly been hiding inside his home nearby. When questioned by officers, he gave incoherent statements, claiming he wanted to test whether his nephew’s skin was “invulnerable” after overhearing comments about him being “tough.” Police discovered a blood-stained path leading to the house and recovered the weapon, a machete, which was seized as evidence.

 

Mr Manoch was taken into custody and transported to Lan Sak Police Station. During the journey, he continued to speak erratically and told officers he didn’t want to say more, stating he was not in the mood to explain further.

 

The suspect’s 82-year-old mother, Ms Lamphoei Kitchakan, who also witnessed the attack, told police that she was cooking instant noodles inside the house at the time of the incident. Her grandson had been lying on a chair outside when Mr Manoch suddenly approached and slashed him repeatedly with the machete. Ms Lamphoei, terrified by the attack, immediately called relatives and authorities.

 

She revealed that her son had a history of daily cannabis use and suffered from frequent hallucinations and episodes of talking to himself, which had become increasingly disturbing for her and other family members. Fearing for their safety, Ms Lamphoei expressed her wish to press charges against her own son and urged the authorities to take legal action.

 

Police have confirmed that Mr Manoch is in custody and will face prosecution.

wait until you're old and talk to yourself.   I have a feeling all this didn't start after the pot smoking.

 

no matter, BAN the evil drug!!!!!   Drinking is way more chill.   Let the Russians drink for free and see what happens.  I'll be far away, unfortunately.  Wish I could be there.

Serious mental illness. Heavy dope use (if this was the case) won't help but it's not the cause.

Finding it hard to believe cannabis could be the cause. Usually the results are falling asleep or feeling hungry.
