Mohammed Fahir Amaaz & Muhammad Amaad on Trial over Manchester Airport Clash

One of the most eagerly awaited trails in recent history? Really??  Only because of their religion, and only by a certain segment of society.

I am following it because I want to see them found guilty and sentenced to jail. But it's hardly crime of the century in the overall scheme of things is it. One of the most eagerly awaited trials in recent history - get a grip.

You don't have to. It's been on their front page several times. If you think it should be there every single day of a five week trial then you have ridiculous expectations, especially the last couple of days when the court has not even been in session! Have a report on the front page? "Today, nothing happened, the end."

It is tiring repeating all this over and over. As I said before first it was "why no arrests". Then when they were arrested it was "why no charges". Then they are charged. Then, "why no trial?" Then a trial starts. Then it became "why is the trial not in the media or "MSM" - someone at the BBC is covering it up". Oh wait, it has been widely reported in the BBC and all the national media. Then it's "why is it not prominent enough". Because nothing is currently happening.  When does it stop? Constant moving of goalposts.

When the trial is over if it gets buried then come back and I will join you in outrage, until then just let justice take its course without the daily conspiracy theories (which have so far all been proven to be false).

Their religion has nothing to do with this. It is you making it about religion. It is about the extreme violence. It is about the fact that the pair of them think that they have done nothing wrong. It is about the CPS dragging their feet for months. Above all it is about the very incident that sparked this off suddenly being thrown in as it has gone to court and the fact that this occurred at an International Airport. Yes Friday night in any town centre this is about par for the course. Not in an airport with masses of surveillance and armed police offices. Nobody is moving goal posts, may be just you.

We keep getting the "I am not responding to this rubbish" but up you pop. My comment was to support what CGI Blue said so no need for you to get involved at all.

It wasn't overlooked for a whole year! We've been through this several times. It was moving through several investigations from several bodies and since December through the criminal justice system.

This is so hard, who care about December onwards. Yes the courts are tied up in knots. It was the July to December that needs to be explained.

I just checked the news. You wont believe what is amongst to to UK news items https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly10x7pjplo

I hadn't a clue who Emma Watson was but she was in Harry Potter and she has been banned from driving for 6 months. So there you have it, to the BBC top news items is an actress who I didn't know has been banned from driving.

Jeez, I must have explained the entire thing three times already in this thread. It is not hard to wrap your head around if you are willing to actually read information that is presented to you.

If you don't want to read, or don't want to take it in then there's no hope for you, and I am not explaining it all over again for you and barra to ignore again.

Back to discussing what is on the BBC news today when there isn't actually any court action to report on at all, you and barra have fun with that. Do you want re-runs of the previous days?

What a ridiculous game and a ridiculous waste of time.

Well done Joe another thread you drove posters away from. Tomorrow you can post all you want you'll be the only 1 posting on this thread enjoy.

Not when there is an actual court case to report on.

Seven separate news stories on the BBC in the past week or so reporting from the courtroom. What would you like them to say for today when there is no court in session?

You video won't load but I agree with you Barra. I read the reports from today and their excuses are laughable.

But, "at last a news report"?  I read about it today on the BBC news site as part of their regular reporting by the way - where all their main reports have been.

Anyway, their squirming and excuses are ridiculous and I hope this all gets taken in to account at their sentencing.

Wow, I agreed with Barra.

Shame. I am a huge supporter of the BBC,  but often now hear their headlines and wonder on what planet these are the most important stories in the world today.

They aren't. He cherry picked them.

I didn't cherry pick it. The BBC news site either the UK or the England page had a high lighted top story, then six other high lighted stories. The Emma Watson story was one high lighted by the BBC. No cherry picking. Clearly the BBC thought that was a top story. Ignore the comments others make.

Guilty on Charges 1,3 and 4, remanded in custody for sentencing.

CPS to go for retrial on Charge No 2.

Max sentence on the most serious charge, ABH, is 5 years.

Given that it was an assault on an Emergency worker, 5 year sentence it should be.

The guilty verdict was the easy part. There was too much footage for anything else and it was a jury rather than a member of the 2 tier "justice" system who decided that. Well done to the jury.

Bringing charges in the first place was the second most difficult part. They desperately wanted it to just go away and they hung on for as long as they could. We have to offer Nigel Farage huge thanks for holding their feet to the fire on this and forcing them to eventually bring charges by threatening to do it himself.

The most difficult part will be the sentencing. The judge will be very reluctant to impose an appropriately long sentence. Fortunately, this has blown up into such a huge story now that he may have no choice. Let's hope so.

At least the racist 2 tier sentencing guidelines will not give him an out. For now.

Quite possibly.

I would say there is too much publicity surrounding the case for that to happen, but that didn't stop them when it came to Lucy Connolly's appeal, they simpy doubled down.

It will be interesting to see how much fuel they are prepared to add to the fire.

There is a hearing in court later today on whether he can be let out on bail.

They are probably asking for permission from the "Community leaders" to keep him in custody.

I wonder if there will be rioting on the streets if they get locked up..........:whistling:

Have you got anything to back that up ?

As he has been convicted, why would he be let out on bail ?

The time spent in a cell, between now and sentencing, will be taken into consideration when he is sentenced.

Manchester Airport Clash: Brothers Accused of Violent Outburst Against Stranger and Police

Two brothers have been accused of launching a violent attack on a fellow traveller and police officers at Manchester Airport, in what prosecutors described as an "entirely unlawful" incident motivated by anger rather than self-defence. The court heard that the confrontation, which began inside a Starbucks café, escalated to a physical altercation with three police officers, two of whom were armed.

Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and his older brother Muhammad Amaad, 26, appeared before a jury on charges relating to an altercation that took place on July 23 last year in Terminal 2 of the airport. Prosecuting barrister Paul Greaney KC told the court that the case was straightforward, noting that both CCTV footage and body-worn police cameras had captured the events in question.

image.png

“The events you are concerned with were captured by CCTV cameras and, in relation to the events in the payment area, on the body-worn cameras of police officers as well,” Mr Greaney said. “So you will not have to depend only on the recollections of witnesses. You will also be able to see with your own eyes what happened.”

According to Mr Greaney, the brothers had come to the airport with their young nephew to meet their mother, who was returning from a trip to Qatar. Upon spotting a man she had reportedly had an earlier dispute with, she pointed him out to her sons inside Starbucks. The man, Abdulkareem Ismaeil, was travelling with his wife and three young children when he was approached by the brothers.

CCTV footage played in court showed Mohammed Fahir Amaaz confronting Mr Ismaeil before delivering a headbutt to his face and launching further punches, all while other travellers and children looked on. “It is clear that on the flight and/or shortly after it landed, something happened between the defendants’ mother and Abdulkareem Ismaeil that made the defendants’ mother unhappy,” said Mr Greaney. He added, “The violence was entirely unlawful and delivered out of anger, not in self-defence.”

Though Mr Ismaeil declined to cooperate with police or provide a statement, Mr Greaney argued that his absence did not weaken the case. “The absence of evidence from him makes it no less easy to conclude that the first defendant behaved unlawfully in Starbucks,” he said.

The incident continued in the terminal’s car park, where police officers attempted to arrest the brothers. CCTV footage showed that as officers tried to move Mohammed Fahir Amaaz from a payment machine, he resisted, prompting his brother Muhammad Amaad to intervene.

“In the moments that followed, the first defendant also assaulted Pc Cook and then Pc Ward too, breaking her nose,” Mr Greaney stated. “The defendants used a high level of violence.”

One of the officers, Pc Marsden, was dragged to the ground while being held in a headlock. In a moment captured on camera, the officer responded by kicking Amaaz in the face and appearing to stamp on his head. Mr Greaney acknowledged that this may appear “rather shocking in the cold light of day” but urged jurors to view it in the context of the danger posed, especially given the concern that an officer’s firearm could be seized in the chaos.

The court heard that Amaaz is accused of assaulting Pc Marsden and Pc Ward, causing them actual bodily harm, as well as the assault of Pc Cook and the earlier attack on Mr Ismaeil. His brother Amaad is charged with assaulting Pc Marsden.

Both defendants, from Rochdale, deny the charges. Mr Greaney concluded, “What you have seen is the two defendants acting offensively, not defensively. The position of the prosecution is that their apparent defence of self-defence is false.”

Well when they were arrested the Police Station in Rochdale where the Police officers were stationed was surrounded by upto 300 friends of these 2 scumbags. So its in all probability they will hit the streets demanding his release. What worries me is if Starmer gets a message from the muslim councils telling him " Dont forget we helped you into power in the North " On the other hand if he is given a lighter sentance we will accuse the police of two tier justice and Policing.

Starmer would do well to keep well away from it.

The sentence for ABH is from 2.5 years up to a maximum of 5 years. The broken nose suffered by the female officer nudges that sentence up to the higher end of the scale.

I have seen nothing that suggests the younger one has 7 previous assault convictions.

Which would be revealed at the sentencing hearing.

It was reported on Regional north west news Cyclist. Starmer will do what he normally do. Go MIA again and leave it to someone else to face the Flack.
