A 23-year-old female golf caddy was killed in a crash, after losing control of her motorbike and crashing into a power pole in Chiang Mai’s Hang Dong district.

Police from Hang Dong Police Station reported that the incident occurred in the afternoon of 6 July along the irrigation canal road near Ban Mai Pa Chi in Hang Dong subdistrict. Emergency responders from Chiang Mai Special Rescue Unit, Nopparat Rescue Foundation, and Nam Phrae Subdistrict Rescue Team were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found a damaged Honda motorcycle that had collided head-on with a high-voltage electricity pole. The body of the rider, identified as Ms Suthicha was discovered nearby. She had sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased worked as a caddy at a well-known golf course in the area. CCTV footage showed her riding along the canal road before suddenly losing control and crashing into the pole.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with police working to determine what factors may have contributed to the fatal crash.
