A tragic incident occurred on 8th July 2025, at 4:30 pm, when the wall of an under-construction tea factory building in Ban Koh, Moo 8, Mae Chedi Subdistrict, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai, suddenly collapsed. The disaster resulted in one fatality, one critically injured person, and five others injured.

 

Rescue teams and local officials quickly arrived at the scene. The Wiang Pa Pao District Chief is overseeing the situation and coordinating with local hospitals to ensure the injured receive full medical care.

 

At present, names of the deceased and injured have not been disclosed. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse, considering factors such as material strength and construction methods.

 

The Chiang Rai Public Health Office has requested the public refrain from sharing graphic images of the incident, especially those of victims, out of respect for their families and to protect public mental health.
