How pathetic.

Trump modifies Brazil's tarrifs and now he's emperor of the world. What an imbecile

As if the US exists to serve Brazil or any other nations interests ...moron

Trump threatens to introduce a tax on US coffee drinkers because Brazil is prosecuting his pal Bolsanaro. Nothing to do with trade. US has a trade surplus with Brazil! Exports to USA represents 1.7% of Brazils GDP. Who’s the moron, moron.

555 Never going to happen. That's just Trump trolling. You lefties are so triggered about simply anything to do with this man.

Only 1.7 good, should be easy to find a secondary market 👍 bye bye

He does have a legit point about Bolsanaro. Same thing they did to Trump

Now here is a prime example of a MAGA member living in a different reality.😄

So you’re saying Trump didn’t publish his letter to Brazil on Truth Social threatening 50% tariffs because of their  prosecution of Bolsanaro?  Think you’re in denial matey.

Not denying that. It happened. If you look at previous comments though you will see that those so triggered by anything Trump have of course been triggered. CNN runs negative content about Trump consistently and the syndrome sufferers gobble it up.

Yep really smart. He’s increased President Lulas popularity and created another Canada happily giving the finger to the US. And yes they have a ready secondary market called China. Art of the Deal 😂.

For once you are right, both should be jailed for insurrection.

Is the above your version of sanity @KhaoHom?

You don't seem calm. Also you need to know that not every reader is a Dem nor anyone you might consider to be a rival.

We are simply discussing current events. But what I see is Trump supporters raving like madmen, but ironically calling everyone else mad.

Can you not discuss in a balanced way or is everything that Trump does okay with you? That's idol worship. Simp behaviour.

Simp lol

Best you look up the term

There is no balanced discussion on this board.

It's left-wing propaganda, disinformation and outright lies against truth seekers.

I've a feeling many are paid to sow chaos on the internet. Many posters here do not even live in Thailand and post exclusively about US politics

At least he has the balls to say what every one else is thinking. Canada , UK and the EU afraid to say it.

Lula is as dirty as they come. Bolsonaro was a rank amateur in comparison. It's a miracle that he survived being stabbed in the guts by a Lula fanatic.  The only one in recent memory who had a shred of decency was Dilma. She didn't last long.

How childish

BTW I'm not MAGA. I'm just sane.

Back before the Democratic party rejected white people and especially white men I might have even been thought of as a classic liberal. Now, after all the BLM, gay activism, anti white hate you might as well call me MechaHitler. I'm now in ZERO mood for compromise. Y'all can go suck a dik

Back in the olden days classic liberals and progressive conservatives had a common middle ground. I suspect most people are still in that middle ground but the media and online forums are extremely partisan. I, too, wonder if there are paid trolls (on both sides) who act to divide people.  I've never encountered someone in real life who espouses the extreme positions on either side of the spectrum.

They are not afraid to say it, they only play it more diplomatic, with giving Trump the impression that he's winning but just ignoring his demands.

And why do you think that is? Because the radical loony left love and believe MSM 100% and are unable to recognise political bias when it slaps them in the face by any chance? As for the radical left the people of the US reject this wholeheartedly at the election.

Sounds a bit brainless to me .!

The left is absolutely paid media. Bought and owned. There are numerous articles and news sources on this that cover the first Trump administration as well as his election. Not only media bias but media paid for.

It's also includes the propaganda war that was waged during all of those lawfare suits against Trump. All of these were entirely designed to destroy his chances of re/election

Moreover, it was found that numerous media corporations were provided with USAID money for very unscrupulous reasons. Lots of it

* Trump has won lawsuits against MSM. Note that.

Additionally, you had the Biden disinformation boards which were extremely authoritarian and biased. Finally, to this day you have msm blasting for the release of Epstein documents when it was only The Fringe right that was front and center on that. Furthermore, we now have Obama in the crosshairs with some very damning evidence of treason. Put that on ignore as well.

On the right I have sensed a certain number of pro Trump influencers that were rabidly "open the Epstein files" fanboys now completely backing off, capitulating to Trump's position and willing to sweep the whole thing under the rug. It's supposedly for continuity and cohesion but I guarantee you there's money behind that ask.

There's money behind a lot of pro-trump media posts I'm certain.

I don't read mainstream media, I'm not influenced by others opinions generally speaking outside of a well reasoned article/argument.

I believe in the rule of law and the integrity of it. Most of those anti-trumpers are delusional brokies. They're all brokies, losers. They're worried that there government money is going to be taken from them. Their free stuff.

That way I look at the whole thing is we put up with Obama and biden's bull<deleted> for 12 years was it? Now, the pendulum swings back and corrects the excess and Injustice

A 1.5% win on the popular vote, in an election with a turnout of 64% is not exactly a wholehearted rejection!

Trump's, your and many other's dislike of MSNBC, CNN, PBR, BBC and other media outlets is simply based on the fact that their content does not slavishly adulate Trump.

Quite an odd stance to take.  Trump decides to do something for America, and because that affects another country who wishes to trade with them, then he's trying to be the emperor of the world.  Kind of shows how much entitlement people feel to trade from Western countries.

Agree.

If he starts the process now, preliminary talks could be as early as 2030. A proposal could be in place by 2040. The EU moves fast because all the member states agree on everything. 😃

Maybe they could include freedom of movement in the deal? The EU doesn't have enough immigrants and the citizens of Europe are crying out for more.

The comparable level of corruption in both administrations should ensure they work well together.

Lula doesn't have to be part of the EU for having them as a trade partner, but that went over your racist head, isn't it?

Brazil’s President Lula da Silva has slammed Donald Trump over tariff threats, declaring the former US president “not elected to be the emperor of the world.” This comes after Trump announced a 50% tariff on Brazilian imports, citing a “witch hunt” against his ally, ex-president Jair Bolsonaro.

Bolsonaro is currently on trial in Brazil, accused of attempting a coup following Lula's 2022 election victory. If convicted, Bolsonaro could face over 40 years in prison. Lula emphasised Brazil’s independent judiciary, affirming Bolsonaro is judged by his actions, not by political motivations.

Lula candidly stated that if Trump were Brazilian, he’d be on trial for any Capitol insurrection equivalent. He was shocked by Trump's social media post, initially dismissing it as “fake news.” In response, Brazil has vowed to impose its own tariffs if Trump follows through, with Lula insisting Brazil will not accept unilateral dictates.

Despite the heated exchange, Lula remains open to discussions, stating he hopes Trump will approach negotiations seriously. Highlighting past US-Brazil trade dynamics, Lula expressed eagerness for dialogue, underlining that international relations should avoid confrontational paths.

On a related front, the US announced an investigation into Brazil’s trade practices, focusing on digital trade and anti-corruption issues. The outcome could further strain relations between the two economies, but Lula maintains optimism for amicable resolutions.
