Three quotes from Golda Meir from more than 50 years ago are as relevant to the current situation in Gaza as they were in the early decades of the state of Israel. Meir was the fourth Prime Minister of Israel (1969-1974).  She had been a leading Zionist figure during the Mandatory Palestine years and was a signatory of the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948.  Meir was a naturalized U.S. citizen and is given much credit for raising millions of dollars for Israel and gaining broad U.S. support.

“We can forgive [them] for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with [them] when they love their children more than they hate us …”  (The exact wording of this quote from 1957 is disputed,)

"If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel." (This quote has been misattributed by some to Netanyahu.  He probably said these words, but was quoting Golda Meir).

And the quote that sums up the entire conflict, all 77 years of it, in one sentence:

"We Jews have a secret weapon in our struggle with the Arabs; we have no place to go."

Yeah - shooting unarmed Palestinians picking up food at food centers is all the rage now.  Like shooting fish in a barrel.

The fear of nations calling out Israel’s fascist leader and his foot soldiers in Gaza and fascist settler violence in the West Bank is a mirror image (very ironically) of how world leaders remained silent about Hitler’s rise and human abuses until it was too late. Tens of millions died as a result of that war (WW2). You see the same timidity to speak about against Trump. The alarm bells couldn’t be louder - but they’re being ignored.

First, they are not my people.  Second if you are an infidel, you should be extremely concerned and thank Israel.

Most Jews around the world think of Israel as their homeland.

'I witnessed war crimes' in Gaza, former worker at GHF aid site tells BBCClose

A retired US special forces officer has revealed to the BBC why he resigned from his work with US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid distribution centres.

"I witnessed the Israeli Defense Forces shooting at the crowds of Palestinians," Anthony Aguilar told the BBC.

He added that in his entire career he has never witnessed such a level of "brutality and use of indiscriminate and unnecessary force against a civilian population, an unarmed, starving population".

The ‘you made me kill your children’ argument, the fallacy of which can be demonstrated in the recent killing of Palestinians at a market, in a cafe, at a water distribution center.

In each case Israel claimed to have been targeting members of Hamas/suspected Jihadist.

So here’s a question, would Israel have launched missiles to target those same members of Hamas/suspected Jihadist if they had been surrounded by Israel civilians at a market, in a cafe or at a water distribution station?

I look forward to Israel’s supporters answering that question.

Nice swerve on a very simple question, and even then your response is open for reason label dispute.

That did answer your question .

Its up to Hamas to defend and protect its own citizens .

If Hamas use its own citizens as human shields , then they can all be targeted and killed

The two situations are very different, but the short answer is "No, the IDF wouldn't launch missiles at Hamas terrorists surrounded by Israeli civilians."

When Israeli forces target Hamas operatives in Gaza with missiles, the civilian casualties are a result of Hamas members hiding among non-combatants and using them as human shields.   If Hamas operatives were in the midst of Israeli civilians, that would mean they had infiltrated Israeli territory and the best method of neutralizing them wouldn't be the same as with attacks on operatives on enemy soil.  Inside Israel, the IDF would most likely use commandos or S.W.A.T. teams to take out terrorists.

As @Nick Carter icp pointed out, the duty of the IDF is to protect its own people.  In any given situation, the IDF will choose a method that minimizes the potential loss of life and injuries to Israelis.  By hiding among civilians, Hamas maximizes the chance its own civilians will be killed or injured.

Turns out that there more to that story :

Ex-US contractor who accused IDF of war crimes at aid sites ‘falsified documents’ to spread ‘false narrative,’ GHF says, sharing evidence

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation accuses an American former contractor who alleged that he had seen fellow contractors and Israeli soldiers use “indiscriminate” force against civilians at aid sites of deliberately spreading a “false narrative” after he was fired for performance reasons.

The contractor, former US special forces soldier Anthony Aguilar, alleged in an interview on Friday that he had witnessed “war crimes” being committed by IDF troops near GHF aid distribution sites, which have been plagued with near-daily reports of mass casualty incidents.

In the aftermath of the interview, GHF holds a press briefing to present evidence that Aguilar “falsified documents” and “presented misleading videos to push his false narrative.”

In the briefing, GHF spokesperson Chapin Fay shares the content of text messages that show that Aguilar was “terminated for misconduct,” and did not, as he claimed, resign from GHF’s security partner UG Solutions by choice.

After he pleaded to be rehired and was turned away, he “threatened UG Solutions with retribution,” Fay says, citing a message sent by Aguilar on June 15 in which he warned that he could be the company’s “best friend or worst nightmare.”
