According to Goldman Sachs, US beef prices are up 31% in the last 3 months. I bet Trump signs an EO removing beef from the inflation index. Maybe he'll add his Fighter Pilot NFTs to the index, as they would show inflation is tumbling.

The best filet I've eaten in Thailand is grass fed Aussie Black Angus at El Gaucho. I much prefer it to Japanese beer-fed and massaged Wagyu or Kobe. Of course all beat the failed abomination that was Trump Steaks.

US beef is awesome. The Australian beef has less flavour because it's leaner. Also not bad, but just a little less flavour.

Do not know if you have eaten beef in Australia. Most of the exported stuff is Brahman-cross grown in the northern parts of Australia. It is poor quality compared to the southern grown beef. I do not eat the imported stuff here, as well as the poor quality it is sliced too thinly and frozen.

You have not tasted much good beef then, quality beef is grass fed & has taste.  This can be from a  variety of cattle breeds from Aberdeen Angus, to Brahmins to Longhorns.  At basic level grass-fed & corn(maize) fed cattle provide very different taste sensations from their meat. A good steak, well-cooked is a visit to culinary heaven.

Eaten Wagyu and Angus. Tastes like beef.

I hate thinly sliced as well. Big thick cuts of beef is the only way to go. I've not been to Australia, as I got my lifetime supply of Australia in Bali, but when I buy the Australian beef here in Thailand it's obviously a cut above Thai beef, obviously cut too thinly usually, and obviously a cut below US, Irish or Italian beef, not to mention Argentinian which is probably the best. But the Oz beef is perfectly eatable, especially when put next to the Thai effort, which is a bit, well, work in progress.

The ginger clown has one point. 40% of Australan beef is treated with growth hormones. Let this be a warning for the farangs boasting Pattaya's renowned restaurants boas serving imported beef mainly from Australia.

I would tend to agree.....and if I were Australian I would naturally tend to support my home economy.

So what do do you think Trump is doing.

What do you expect Wagyu and Angus beef to taste like if not beef?

For that you just have to look at his posts in the "my view today" thread where he posts pictures of the 25 baht dishes he had, as if it is haute cuisine.

Maybe he has some left from his previous failure(s).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_Steaks

Trump Steaks was a brand of steak and other meats that was licensed by Donald Trump.[1] The brand was launched in May 2007 and was exclusively sold through The Sharper Image[2] and QVC.[3][4] Due to poor sales and a failure to live up to sales and product expectations, The Sharper Image discontinued the Trump Steaks product line in July 2007, just two months after its launch.

Depends on how it's raised. And I wouldn't say less flavor. When it's grass fed, beef can have a very strong flavor, particularly the fat. A lot depends on the breed.
