Man Arrested After Fatal Stabbing Over Facebook Post in Rizal

In a tragic incident in Rodriguez, Rizal, a man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife to death following an argument reportedly sparked by a Facebook post. The altercation occurred on Wednesday, 23 July.

 

The San Mateo Municipal Police identified the suspect as 37-year-old "Herson." He voluntarily surrendered with the assistance of his relatives after the incident.

 

The investigation revealed that the confrontation began around 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, allegedly triggered by a Facebook post. During the heated exchange, the suspect allegedly threw hot coffee in his wife’s face before stabbing her multiple times.

 

Following the attack, the suspect fled toward Barangay San Isidro. Meanwhile, the victim was rushed to San Mateo Medical Center but was declared dead during treatment.

 

"Herson" is now in the custody of the Rodriguez Police Station. The authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, which highlights the severe consequences of domestic disputes escalating.
