I'm pretty sure they didn't declare that they work in illegal call centers so it sounds like someone is making stuff up. Also, what's wrong with working in a casino in a place where they are legal? Laws stop at the border, you can't reach over the border and apply your laws elsewhere. -

Thai - Cambodia Conflict Thai Workers Flock Back to Cambodia Despite Border Tensions

The jobs, often linked to call-centre fraud, online gambling scams, and casinos, are drawing workers back as tensions ease. Police General Trairong Pewpan has confirmed the workers' hopes to cross back into Cambodia, particularly to Poipet and other areas they previously worked in. Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau chief, Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Pewpan, revealed that these Thai workers have applied for safe passage back to their previous workplaces. Many are involved in call-centre rackets and casino operations. Despite last week's border conflict, a ceasefire has been agreed upon, and the workers anticipate a return to normalcy. Of those who returned to Thailand, only 74 have chosen not to go back to Cambodia. This reveals the allure these illegal operations still hold, despite ongoing suppression efforts.
