Neither the Justice Department, the Bureau of Prisons nor Maxwell’s lawyer has addressed precisely why the transfer was made. We don’t know who was involved.

The testimony was not substantiated, but were claims from people who were also seeking financial settlements. One of the  claimants has since been exposed as a deceitful individual who fabricated stories. I do not doubt that Maxwell enabled wrongdoing, and I believe the conviction for conspiracy was supported. However, the prostitutes went willingly and were not forced into being paid large amounts of money, and enjoying lavish holidays in return for entertaining disgusting men.

She was convicted in an open court by a jury. 
 

Her conviction was upheld on appeal.
