Israel has accused Australia of undermining its security and helping Hamas after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced that his government will formally recognise Palestinian statehood.

That is their right, and it is their position.

Australia has been critical of Israel too, as is its right.

Because a journalist makes a selfie with Hamas, means he is a member? Really?

And then I even leave out the option that it maybe a photoshop. Of course Israel would never be up to lies or false claims.

I don't know why the UN doesn't respond, maybe they are also Hamas terrorists in you head?

Seriously, you believe that a person taking a selfie with  the leadership of a known terrorist organization, and gleefully smiling supports the claim that the deceased was a bonafide journalist? Come on. You know he wasn't.  Israel isn't perfect and can make mistakes, but it got itself a Hamas  operative here and you know it. Of all the people to rally behind, you picked this guy?

Ok. What part of VARIATION do you not understand?  There were 18  different triangles.  One did not have to be jewish to have one. The political dissidents, socialists, communists wore red. Criminals wore blue. Diabetics  wore black and so on.

I don't rally behind anyone, I only know that Israel is committing genocide, and this would not be the first lie they produce to justify it.

So far there is no proof for their claims

Yagoda isn't a Jew, as per his own admittance a few posts higher up.

Maybe you should consider reading up a bit before you make silly comments, accusing others.

And that also counts for a few other posts of you in this thread.

No, he has never admitted it, he avoids it or tries to misrepresent it by saying he’s American, same as Patong.

Every country is critical of Israel for obvious reasons. Oh, apart from the USA, as Trump got $400 million from the Adelsons.

It is not your duty to support Israel just because of your ethnicity. You are on the wrong side of history and you won’t be supporting them in a couple of weeks, you’ll sneak away and refuse to comment.

This would not be the first time a campaign of genocide has been mounted against Jews and many lies have been used through the years to justify it.

You ask for a vote? Ask 80.000 Australians to vote, we are sick of your crime minister

Your previous post on Hitler was crystal clear, but this one has me puzzled.  What do 80,000 (I assume you mean 80,000) Australians have to do with my questions about how many posters in this thread agree with you and whether your post would get a "thumbs up" or other "Like" vote?   Are you one of the 80,000?  I also assume you are calling Netanyahu a "crime minister," but he isn't my prime minister.

I would be thankful if you clarify what you mean.

The Committee to Protect Journalists, an independent non-profit organisation based in the US that promotes press freedom worldwide, says at least 186 journalists and media workers have been killed in Gaza, the West Bank, Israel and Lebanon since the war began.

3 examples below:

Anas al-Sharif: Seven people were killed in the attack, including another Al Jazeera correspondent, Mohammed Qreiqeh and the camera operators Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa, according to the Qatar-based broadcaster.

Ismail Abu Hatab, 32, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on al-Baqa cafe on the seashore in Gaza City in June, along with 33 other people.

Fatma Hassouna, 25, a photographer and film-maker, was killed in an Israeli airstrike that hit her home in northern Gaza in April, just months before her wedding. Six members of her family, including her pregnant sister, were also killed.

Anas Al-Sharif was one of five journalists among seven people killed in an Israeli air strike on Gaza City. The five worked for the broadcaster Al Jazeera.

Israel says Sharif was the head of a Hamas cell but has only produced limited evidence about its claims.

Al Jazeera rejected the accusations and said the strike was a "blatant" attack on press freedom.

An utterly disgraceful comment.

I’m not at all sure why some on both sides of this discussion feel the need to be overtly offensive.

My personal view is psychological issues for which I’m not qualified to comment on.

Do you deny the selfie with the Hamas leadership? Is that what  journalists do, take selfies with known terrorists?

Israel provided  documentation to the UN, documentation I have  attached above. Do you deny this? The UN refused to respond.

I think it’s pretty certain that journalists covering wars meet with the leaders of the leaders of the belligerent parties.

IDF’s strike yesterday that killed Anas al-Sharif — a prominent Palestinian journalist for Al Jazeera whom the military has long accused of being a Hamas terrorist — the Foreign Ministry says that “terrorists with cameras are not journalists.”

Replying on X to a United Nations post in response to the attack stating that “Journalists are #NotATarget,” the ministry writes: “We agree — journalists are not a target. But jihadi terrorists with cameras are not journalists. They are terrorists.”

I agree with the Israel Times and support the IDF taking out a Hamas terrorist enabler.

Which might be believable if the IDF had not already slaughtered over 180 journalists in this war.

Are you certain the deceased were "journalists". On what basis do you make that claim?

Do you deny that the deceased was an active  Hamas member?

They were credited journalists.

It’s for Israel to demonstrate they were members of Hamas.
