They aren't equal but unique. Good people from all nationalities, creeds and races are compatible. Prejudiced aren't. The west is more advanced but the west is all nationalities, creeds and races in one place, whereas the majority of any one type are in their own countries. Yes, some are behind and some still practice outrageous behaviors because of their ancestors, but the west's influences, meaning the good ones, will catch on and show people there is a better way to live. It takes time and enough to go up against a system that is doing some bad things. The younger generations have made changes all along, from the Berlin Wall to rock music, promoting Democracy, activism, human rights and eventually the end of misogyny. -

Air Conditioning Bill Question/Not running at all
I live in a 85sq meter, newish (2 year old) 2BR/2BA condo in Ekkamai, Bangkok. My summertime MEA electric bills are usually 3500--4500baht per month, with normal usage. I do work from home and keep the A/C temperature in my 3 wall units at 28 constantly during day/22 at night (in just one bedroom unit). I was away from my condo the ENTIRE month of July and turned all 3 AC units off. It was empty with no tenants and no one coming in at all. I only had the refrigerator and 2 small air purifiers running. No other electrical usage that I can think of. The July bill for the "empty period) was 2500baht and June was 3700baht. Last year's July bill when I was here in BKK was closer to 4000 baht. Why is my July bill only 33% less than June, when no AC was running at all? The Juristic checked the meter and said it was fine. Can MEA do anything to verify this? Any thoughts? Thanks. S -

Sorry, that wasn't the point I was making. You seemed to imply there was some intent in not giving a nationality by just stating foreigner. Having seen the video there is no clear label the reporter could attach; the mob is not white farang, nor Chinese or African. They would appear to be either Middle Eastern or South Asian (Subcontinent) or indeed European migrants from those regions. So in the absence of any other data, stating 'foreigner' is the best the article can reasonably do. -
