Narathiwat authorities are investigating a bomb and arson attack that destroyed multiple heavy vehicles at a mining company in Chanae District on August 21.

According to the Narathiwat Provincial Public Relations Office, the incident occurred at around 12:50 in Village 3, Chang Phueak Subdistrict. Local officials conducted an aerial survey of the area and confirmed that several company vehicles had been deliberately set on fire.

The damage includes:

• Five 10-wheel trucks

• Two excavators

Security will fully inspect the scene, once the area is deemed safe, from any possible devices planted as secondary attacks on security forces.

Authorities have urged local residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals. Tip-offs can be made via the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) Region 4 Frontline hotline at 1341 or the police emergency number 191, available 24 hours.

The investigation continues, as authorities try to identify those responsible and their motives.
