Well they look the part which is usually a good thing when one is in business and selling things.  Not so much when one is selling illegal things!

Back in the late 1980's or early 1990's, during my visit to Udon Thani, a friend took me with him to Nakhon Phanom.   

 

At the border crossing immigration had a sign with English that read, Hippies not allowed, followed by a description of what a hippie looked like.  

 

And totally off subject regarding NKP.   In 1972/73 when I was working outside of Udon at the intel base, I flew back from Bangkok on a C130 and fell asleep in flight.   I woke up when the aircraft landed and looked out the window.  I thought we had landed in Vietnam because it looked just like a Vietnam combat base with an air strip. 

 

I asked the guy sitting next to me if we had landed in Vietnam and got a strange look and denial in response.   No, it's the NKP Marine base he told me. 

 

A Marine base, in Thailand, where the Marines acted like they were in a combat zone, would not allow Marines off base into NKP, and Marines would get a 3 day in country R&R at Udon.

Do you dislike anyone with tattoos? Do you Consider folks with tattoos as criminals? Or are you just prostelitizing based upon looks. Not all folks who have tattoos and Mohawks are criminals, yet in this case they are. How many White Collar workers do you know that are also criminals?

Maybe ....    they wore long sleeved shirts when entering ..   and shaved those coconuts when they got to Samui

Long jail tine then deportation and life time ban from entering Thailand again.
