Guitar, gardening and strangling little furry animals.

As we have a nice collection of experienced online "daters" here,  some questions I am sometimes asked by Thai women about these sites and that I never could find a satisfactory answer.  Maybe you can help?

1. Why do (almost) all men like to show their dic* online?

(By far the most common question)

2. Why they don't talk to me as soon as I say I am a freelancer? (Isn't this why men come to Thailand?)

3. Is it true, if I meet a foreigner,  he will expect to have se*?

Not used these in so long in Thailand but back when they were not all messed up met a 19-year-old and in bed same-day....beats UK dating right now anyday....UK dating is the pits - can't wait to leave...

Agreed. Too long ago to address current conditions. But my Thai Wife and I do count ourselves as having been very fortunate. Eight years coming out of a 4 year relationship. I went back on the websites as I had done when I first arrived 14 years ago. Very lucky and very happy (knock on wood), every long term permanent relationship was an improvement over the last. I do believe at 78 we will be together until I go up the chimney.

Who really cares?

Had a Aussie buddy several years ago who would visit Thailand several times a year in search for a “legitimate” TG for a potential girlfriend.  A hopeless romantic.  Anyway.

He finds one.  A looker.  Decent job.  Not a bar girl.
But over TIME her true colors come to the surface.

Constant texting.  Where are you?  Where you go?  Etc etc. I would tease him and refer to her as “ tracker “

But the worst part is she was bat shi- crazy jealous to the point  where she would inflict physical violence towards him. Yes, they are out there

He finally wised up and walked away.

Later when there paths crossed she wanted to get back with him claiming she had “changed “. He refused .

Later he  found a new “legitimate “. from BKK.

Tied the knot (marriage) after a short courtship.  WTF!  I advise him it’s too soon.

Covid arrives and he returns home to do the paperwork to bring her to Australia.  Without going into detail he’s convinced she’s cheating on him.  Regardless, he eventually gets her to Australia.

I believe a lot more of these scenarios are happening more often than what is being reported here.

The notion that successful relationships ONLY happen with “legitimate “ girls isn’t true.

Could this have happened with a bargirl?  Absolutely.

Could someone find a happy marriage with a bargirl?  Absolutely

Could someone find a happy marriage with a “legitimate “.?  Absolutely

Am I looking for marriage?  Absolutely not.  What’s the point at this stage in life.

Take one’s time and place your bets .  Black or Red.

Not directed to you specifically, Cameroni.

Just an observation and statement.

Spot-on.

Here's another girlfriend test for the inept right wingers. You know who you are 😊

I don't think that I have ever had a girlfriend who did not buy me clothing(with their own money).

That's another thing that girls do.

If she doesn't do it, she is not your girl @Cameroni You are her job.

Were those girlfriends of yours born Female ?

Yes @Nick Carter icp Why do you ask?

Seems a strange and unrelated thought. Trans on your mind? I'm sure you can find dating apps for your type.

Its usually Men that buy the clothes for the Woman .

I just though that your Woman may have been buying clothes for her partner out of habit

No @Nick Carter icp It is NOT usually men who buy clothes for women. That's just a certain type of man...sugar daddy.

I don't think that I have EVER purchased clothing for a woman. Women dress their men, not the other way around. Boy....you have really missed out on life.

Even as teenagers, my girls would buy clothing for me. It has nothing to do with habit. Just instinct if they consider you their man. Have you ever had a real girlfriend? Doesn't seem like it.

That progressed from clothing to jewellery. What do you think happens to the money that simps and incels give to the local freelancers and sideline girls? They spend some of it on their men.

I am the independent type and I buy my own clothes .

The last woman to buy my clothes for me was my Mum when I was about 12 years old

@Nick Carter icp You are the 'independent' type with no girl. That's for sure. I also buy my own clothes. But my girls buy them too. Every single one of them. It's normal. Instinct to dress your man. If they don't, they don't care.

They are just in it for what they can get. If it's really your girl, she will have your best interests at heart. Now you know.

I guess it's clear to you now that the only woman who ever loved you was your mum...and then only until you were twelve years old.

And she wasn't a sex worker, was she?

No she had and still has her own business

In a man's world, the men who dress women are Gay or Sugar Daddy/pervert.

Every boy understood that any clothing they might buy for a woman would go right back to the shop. Either for an exchange to the right size or to change it for something more suitable. Men are hopeless at that sort of thing.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that the people who hold vile opinions here, have not ever had a real girlfriend. Not ever had real love in their lives.

Maybe you should visit Thailand some time.

In Thailand,  it is normal that a girlfriend buys clothes for her boyfriend, as a gift.

It's cute,  but half of the clothes they buy are useless (too small, too ugly, too poor quality).

Agreed... even I never realized it

So your GF buys you clothes out of her own money ?

Shes not using YOUR money to buy the clothes?

Since we married my wife has bought me clothes she thinks I look good in. In the last few years when returning to the states when it was cool my daughters have bought me nice warm clothes. Both a Patagonia fleece and a nice Northface puffer. None of that money was mine.

Just a bit of nonsense to assume females buying clothes makes it real.

I've dated great hard-working chix and I buy my own clothes thanks.

@freedomnow "Dated hard working chix"..." doesn't mean that they were into you. If no gifts, she ain't your girl.

Subjective truth/nonsense. Your X = Y theories....I could not get rid of them.

Unfortunately for @freedomnow, this is correct.

@JakeC seems to be a lonely poster here who actually has had Thai girlfriends (as opposed to hookers).

A Thai girlfriend will buy gifts for you,  with her own money, without asking.

The gifts are often quite useless,  normally clothes, eg shirts. They are more often her taste than your taste.

In all the years here,  2 times (20 years apart) did I get a gift - not clothes -  that was actually my taste (and that I couldn't have bought myself) showing the girl had understood me and the way I look at things. Buying it for me, she did a lot more than just follow Thai social norms (gf buys shirt for bf) - she showed an understanding of this strange foreigner, and acceptance of his peculiarities.

I can agree with that because my ex constantly bought me things to decorate my condo which I didn't like, or bedsheets that look childish, or clothes I didn't like. It eventually ended our relationship because she wouldn't stop. All I wanted was her love and commitment. I was actually annoyed that she was spending her money on me for things I don't want or like.
