A violent incident unfolded in Samut Prakan when a 24-year-old man attacked his ex-girlfriend and her friend with a knife before leaping from the seventh floor of an apartment building.

The drama began around 4.30 PM yesterday, as police and emergency services rushed to the residence in Bang Sao Thong district after receiving a distress call. Upon arrival, they found the man, identified as Somsak, gravely injured in the parking lot following his fall. Emergency personnel swiftly transported him to the hospital where he remains under critical care.

Inside the building, two young women, 18-year-old Kitiya and 19-year-old Manatsanan, were discovered with severe knife wounds outside their seventh-floor apartment. Rescuers administered immediate aid before rushing them to the hospital, much to the shock and panic of the witnesses gathered around.

Teerapon, a close friend of the victims, revealed he had just accompanied the women to their room before the assault took place. He was alerted to the attack by another friend and hurried back as chaos erupted. Recalling the scene, Teerapon described witnessing Somsak's fall and the distressing sight of the injured women.

The assault stemmed from a troubled relationship. Somsak, Kitiya's former boyfriend, had a history of jealousy issues and had previously attempted to confront her. On this fateful day, he lay in wait inside her apartment, unbeknownst to the young women. When they arrived, a heated altercation erupted, resulting in the attack.

A witness, who was with the women during the incident, attempted to intervene but was also injured. The assailant had reportedly made threatening remarks to Kitiya, ominously stating, “If I can’t find peace, neither will you.”

Somsak fled from the crime scene in a desperate act by leaping from the window, resulting in his critical condition. Kitiya, an intern at a local convenience store, and her friend Manatsanan, also her colleague, remain in serious condition in hospital care.

Police are now examining CCTV footage to piece together the events leading to this tragedy. The investigation continues as authorities aim to unravel the details of this shocking ordeal.

The incident highlights the devastating impact of domestic disputes and raises concerns about safety in personal relationships. Authorities are urging anyone with more information to come forward as they continue their inquiries.

In the aftermath, the community is left grappling with the shocking events. The police have assured the public of a thorough investigation, striving to deliver justice and prevent future tragedies.
