Just returned from TTB.

Featured Replies

Just returned from a TTB branch, after speaking with a manager:

1) Facial recognition is a procedure required if you want to transfer more than a certain amount. Those who don't do facial recognition will continue to be able to use ATMs and banking services normally. Facial recognition can be done at any bank branch.

2) If the SIM card is under your name, surname, and DOB, it's not necessary, for the bank,  to update your passport with the SIM provider, when you get a new one. The important thing is that the information listed above matches that on the SIM card.

Frankly, this last point leaves me a little perplexed, but it's essentially the same thing TTB officials wrote to me on the bank's Messenger.

Nothing new for most, but learning it directly from the bank is an added assurance, after all the welcome information you all provided.
