Today, 3 September, a deeply distressing case emerged in Pathum Thani, Thailand. Sergeant Kings Taengthim of Saphan Mai led the parents of three 14-year-old girls to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) to file a complaint against a group of teenage boys. The boys, aged around 17, are accused of committing rape and gang rape in Nong Suea District.

Sergeant Kings recounted that the horrific incidents came to light through the victims' parents. The first girl was reportedly lured to a house in Khlong 8 by a boy she knew. Once inside, he locked the room and assaulted her.

Tragically, two other girls were later forced to the same location under dire threats, including the use of a firearm. One victim was thrown into a room with several boys. Despite her desperate attempts to resist and call for help, she faced brutal threats and violence. Shockingly, a woman at the scene encouraged the attack and assaulted the girl further afterwards.

Another girl faced a terrifying choice at gunpoint: being assaulted by one or the entire group. In sheer terror, she pleaded for mercy, suffering immense trauma.

After lodging their complaint, CSD officers swiftly accepted the case, vowing to pursue justice. Investigators are now working to gather evidence and engage in joint interviews with the victims to expedite arrests.

Sergeant Kings also highlighted the importance of protecting victims' identities under the Child Protection Act and Personal Data Protection Act, emphasising the severe legal consequences for violations.

At 11.30am, after meeting with the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, the victims' families were advised on jurisdictional procedures. The assaults occurred near the boundary between Nong Suea and Wang Noi police stations, necessitating coordination between local authorities.

One victim’s mother, struggling financially, relied on Sergeant Kings for navigation through the legal maze. Despite seeking help from the Central Investigation Bureau, she was advised to approach local police directly for a swifter resolution.

The families are determined to secure justice for their daughters. This distressing case highlights systemic issues within the investigation process, urging swift action to protect and support the victims while bringing the perpetrators to justice.

This poignant story underscores the urgent need for effective and compassionate response mechanisms to shield young victims from further trauma and deliver justice efficiently and sensitively.

Or maybe just the police needing to do their job.

In this case, chemical or other forms of castration would be justified.

Nasty business.

Hope they catch them quickly.
