Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) will conduct a partial exercise simulating a disruption to its Automated People Mover (APM) system, the airport announced.

The exercise, part of the airport’s annual contingency planning for fiscal year 2025, is scheduled for Tuesday, 9 September, from 09:00 to 12:00 at the APM station on B2 level of the Secondary Concourse (SAT-1).

Airport officials say the drill aims to test coordination across all departments and ensure staff are prepared to respond effectively in the event of a partial APM outage. Passengers will still be able to use the APM normally during the exercise.

For further information, travellers can contact the airport helpline at 1722.
