Looking for Advice on Porcelain Dental Veneers in Bangkok

Featured Replies

I’m considering getting 15-20 porcelain dental veneers done in Bangkok and I’m hoping to gather more information before making a decision.

From what I’ve seen, the typical cost for porcelain veneers in Bangkok is around 15,000 Baht per tooth, but I keep coming across Instagram ads from clinics offering veneers for as low as 5,000 to 10,000 Baht per tooth. It seems like the veneer industry in Thailand is becoming highly competitive, with many clinics trying to attract business. This has me wondering how much of a difference there really is between these price ranges in terms of quality and reliability.

I understand there are different materials used for veneers, with porcelain being the top choice and composite being something to avoid. However, I’ve noticed that many lower-priced clinics advertise "ceramic" veneers. Does “ceramic” refer to porcelain, or is it a different, cheaper type of ceramic? Are there significant quality differences between the types of ceramics used? Also, do clinics in Thailand tend to avoid using the word "porcelain" in their advertising, opting for "ceramic" instead, simply because porcelain may be less familiar to the general public?

Another concern I have is long-term sensitivity. A few years ago, I had laser teeth whitening, which led to sensitivity that lasted almost a year. Since veneers typically involve some enamel filing, I’m worried about developing long-term sensitivity after the procedure. I understand that having some short term sensitivity is fairly common, but is the risk of long-term sensitivity more about the individual patient, or does it largely depend on the dentist’s skill and how much enamel they remove? Are there any clinics in Bangkok known for being more conservative with enamel removal, or that take extra care with patients who have a history of sensitivity?

Finally, I’d appreciate any recommendations for specific doctors or clinics in Bangkok that are known for quality veneer work. With so many different ads and prices out there, it’s hard to know which clinics are trustworthy. Does a lower price usually mean lower quality materials or work, or are some dentists just trying to stay competitive by offering more affordable options?

I’ve saved some screenshots of the ads from these clinics offering lower prices and will attach them below.

Thanks in advance for any experienced advice.
