Yes low hanging fruit. An elderly foreign woman with no political clout in the US. The perfect target. Certainly easier than going after the high level American politicians and uber wealthy Tech Bros who were using the services. 

 

Laying into Maxwell in order to distract from the billionaire elites actually using these hookers (some of which were indeed underage) is pretty shameful.

 

Of course Maxwell should be punished but giving her a 20 year sentence doesn't mean they can pat themselves on the back and pretend they "got the bad guy". Anyone pushing that line is either stupid or protecting the real villains of the piece.

The American court has punished British-born Maxwell with a longer sentence than appears justified. Those now seeking retribution were only too happy to take money in payment for their services at the time. They now want more money. Worth bearing in mind that in many countries the age of consent is 16, less than that in some.

But in the US minors cannot consent legally, so even if the children are working as prostitutes,, and accepting payment, adults that have sex with them are rapists.

This woman deserves whatever she has coming to her, the more time in prison the better, the more suffering the better, what she and Epstein inflicted on these girls was pretty horrific. I would have thought the death sentence would have been more appropriate, but 20 years is the minimum amount of time she should spend in prison.
