Transfer Euros from Belgium to KTB

Featured Replies

Anybody here has ever used REMITLY to get money in Thailand?

My looong time trusted Belgian bank wants now making me use their app which accepts only IBAN transfers.

No IBAN for my KTB bank account.

I found this REMITLY on the Net and wonder if it's good to use.

TKS for info.

Me and many others use WISE.

I looked at the REMITLY website and being annoyed by the typical new user first transfer decoy.

The decoy is special rate and 0 fee up to some amount for first use.

If only I could find proper fee and rates lists for further use...

Maybe someone can?

A problem that many have for registering for such services is proof of address in Thailand.

I posted this yesterday in another thread. Have a look and see which one you should use.

The special rate is only for the first 1000 euro, after that the exchange rate get much worse than Wise.

You can look at my post above to see the special rate, and the rate after the first 1000 euro, and compare the end result with that of Wise

If someone is not critically dependent on money arriving in seconds and not even needed for immigration purposes (proof of funds from abroad) then WISE always did the job.

As written, proof of address is the hurdle for registration.

If you have a letter/account statement from your home country bank, pension office or consulate with your Thai address that is perfect.

Tks to all.

Wise seems the best option.
