Police and concerned residents rescued a woman believed to be suffering from severe emotional distress after she spent three days inside her parked car on a roadside in Mueang District, Samut Songkhram. The incident was reported on October 15, when 58-year-old Chaiyaphat Weerawat, owner of a nearby PVC pipe shop, alerted police after noticing that a white car had been parked in front of his store since October 13.

Chaiyaphat told officers he had initially ignored the vehicle but later saw a woman, estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, sitting in front of his shop on a plastic chair. When he asked if she needed help, she simply thanked him and returned to her car. Over the next three days, the woman remained inside the vehicle, appearing visibly distressed. Fearing for her safety, Chaiyaphat contacted officers from Mueang Samut Songkhram Police Station, who arrived at the scene to investigate.

When police and locals approached, the woman appeared agitated and claimed she had merely run out of petrol. She was later seen carrying a plastic container across the road to refill it at a nearby gas station. However, as she prepared to leave, officers stopped her after reviewing her social media activity, which contained troubling posts and livestreams indicating suicidal thoughts.

Authorities decided to take her to a local hospital for medical and psychological evaluation. Her relatives were located and notified and have since arranged to take her home. Police praised Chaiyaphat for his vigilance, noting that his concern likely prevented a tragedy. They also urged the public to contact authorities if they notice anyone showing signs of distress or unusual behavior in similar circumstances.

Hope she gets the helps she needs.

Three days in a car.  I can’t imagine what was going on in her head.   Hopefully the lady’s family and the hospital will help her.
