Rochdale are about as consistent as an MP's expense claims form :)

I though they are normally pretty consistent, when it comes to over charging expenses. :D

It was the contents of the claim i was referring to. One month, train tickets, then phone calls, then apartments in Sheppards Bush and then Porn movies :D

I thought someone may have mentioned that after last weekends fixtures ther is only one unbeaten team in all four divisions.

Well done Leeds

Marching on together :)

Well Ken, it looks like fan power has got rid of Mr Barnes for you, not exactly an impressive manager. Your not havin Ronnie back, he's happy and settled... :):D

Just so long as Barnsey's gone I'm happy - I don't even mind that the physio has taken over temporarily, I wouldn't have minded if the canteen lady had taken over as even she could have done a better job than Barnes !

Leyton Orient 0 ColU 1

An injury to their goalkeeper after a few minutes, when the ball had clearly gone over the goal line but wasn't given, seemed less serious than it was. But it transpired the bloke was obviously out cold and was carried off when he regained consciousness , to be replaced by their substitute goalie.

U's went on to win a game that was there for the taking against a poor O's side. Odejayi again delivered, this time with a second-half header put past their goalkeeper.

After letting a should win against lowly Tranmere slip, it's good to see the U's now winning these games -- which they must do to sustain a challenge, at least into the play-offs.

1 1 away at Swindon. The ref had a howler by all acounts. Both teams down to 10 men.

Didn't sound pretty on the radio mate, and yeah the Ref was awful.

Not a bad point for both sides really although we really must start turning more of these draws into wins, 11 unbeaten though and in 7th so not too many complaints.

Apparently we were terrible and were very lucky to get away with losing by just four. On the other side of the coin Huddersfield have spent over a million quid on their strike force in the summer something, we can only dream about.

macca lad, 2-0 up away from home at half time cant be bad!!

My goodness,they actually held on,as well,to beat Cheltenham 2-1 :D

So thats an orgasmic start to the weekend and I can relax now and enjoy the games on the TV.

Good luck to everyones teams this weekend.

Incidentally,Premiership should be interesting....for United,no Rooney but for Liverpool no Gerrard,Torres and Kuyt doubtful.Hope no-one has made Liverpool their Banker in the Predictions League,Jockstar ?? :):D

Wycombe 1 ColU 1

U's were denied a fourth successive win as a late Wycombe Wanderers goal earned them a share of the spoils.

It looked like another Kayode Odejayi goal and a resolute defensive display would again be enough to grab all three points, but a late Jon-Paul Pittman strike levelled things up five minutes from time.

Another draw against one of the divisions deepest strugglers is a bit of a disappointment. Although to be fair, we still haven't lost under Aidy Boothroyd. But judging by the standards he sets, I don't think that his comments will be one of a completely satisfied manager at the result. Nevertheless, it still leaves U's in fourth place in the league.

Everything Rosy down at the CG after putting the geordies to the sword...excellant result pinching 3 points off them. Up next.....Barnsley !!!

Another poor result 3 -0 at walsall. BUt apparently we were excellent. Ist half we were walking all over them radio commentary were singing the lads praises, a really good reaction to the poor performance at Huddersfield. and bang one shot, they score. the lads who went said it was a boot right in the nuts, again totally against the run of play, with virtually their second shot the get no 2. then virtually game over when duffy, our left bac ,get red . Leaves us Sitting one place above the relegation zone. Think everyone now is realizing this league is a really big jump in quality and is game on for the dog fight! whether the players and the manager can cope . time will tell. not looking good at this particular moment in time. Come on you reds!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Well, you have been promoted in consecutive seasons so it was inevitable Exeter would find the going tough in League 1.

Macc did the same thing about 12 years ago and were relegated so your aim this season has to be survival then press on from there.

I reckon you would gladly take one place above the relegation zone come the end of the season ! :)

Notts County given Football League seal of approval

Nottingham Evening Post

Tuesday, October 20, 2009, 15:08

:)

THE Football League has confirmed that Notts County has complied with its regulations on 'fit and proper persons'.

In a statement, the Football League said: "This decision is based on the extensive disclosure provided by the club with regard to its ownership structure.

"The structure is complicated and features both offshore entities and discretionary trusts. Together with the initial hesitation of the club's ultimate owners to identify themselves, this made for a lengthy and at time difficult process.

"However, following greater co-operation more recently, the League is now in a position to confirm that is in possession of the appropriate details for those individuals that exercise control over the club.

"The League has also noted the club's announcement that its consultancy arrangement with Russell King has been terminated.

"It is a matter for the club to determine what ownership information it makes public.

"This is the first case determined by the League following the recent announcement that it would require disclosure of ownership of clubs that wish to play in its League."

I make you about right. The 'phantasists' on cities chat site who were earlier talking of play off positions are now coming to earth with a bump, and realising the reality is what you say. Could be a bit different with a mil or two, but, without, this league is a unforgiving, very little time to adapt. So,Stay up if we are lucky and move on from that.

Anyone know if it's possible to listen to lower league games on the radio via the internet for free?

The only way I've been able to listen in is by subscribing to the clubs website, which is a bit of a rip-off.
