Story at a Glance:

• Over-the-counter (OTC) pain and fever medications are widely used despite having marginal efficacy and significant side effects that hospitalize hundreds of thousands of Americans each year.

• While a widespread practice, using these medications to reduce fevers has long been controversial, both due to their toxicity and the notion that fevers are essential for health.

• During the 1918 Influenza pandemic, one of the most critical lessons was that avoiding fever suppression was vital for protecting patients from dying.

• While considered the “safest” option, Tylenol has a wide range of issues, including liver damage, gastrointestinal issues, blood cancers, and kidney injuries.

• An extensive body of data connects using Tylenol during pregnancy or in infancy to the development of neurological injuries (e.g., autism).

• Many of these tragic cases illustrate a longstanding observation within natural medicine—suppressing superficial reactions (e.g., fevers) can transform illnesses into chronic ailments that can cause far more issues.

Herbal and natural remedies plus vitamins/minerals etc. get a bad rap because they cannot be patented by evil medical companies, so they have to come up with synthetic stuff they can make money out of.

Many answers to bodily ills can be found in nature and often they are... for example, they want you to take metformin for diabetes, but it's an awful drug with crazy possible side effects, when you could just take Pycogenol that is natural, do intermittent fasting and just limit/get rid of sugars and carbs, hence losing weight and reversing type 2 diabetes.

https://www.midwesterndoctor.com is certainly on the money.

The site brings up topics that need addressing. And they give valuable insights into them.

Dr Jayne Donegan is also a great advocate for treating the body naturally, with what is available and necessary. Rather than take Big Pharma drugs, which often will result in problems down the line; as the body gets older. But it's not really an age thing. It's more historical. What happened physically/medically to toddlers can have effects on their well-being 50 years later. Or any time in between.

The compounds in various species have many different characteristics of treatment, such as enhancing immune system, targeting cells and offsetting the ph balance in the body among many others.
