You are not paying anything to support King Charles. On the contrary he is supporting you.  In 2024,  The Crown estate holdings

provided a net revenue profit of £1.1 billion for the UK. Approx. 10% is returned to the monarchy, and is primarily used for the property maintenance and the costs associated with the monarchy. It costs money to put on the tourist drawing Changing of the Guard, and to host Royal events that are well attended by the population. Every event  that Princess Anne attends is an expense for her and it is only right that these expenses be covered. The Monarchy  generates an estimated  £2billion+  to the UK economy through its role as an anchor attraction. Its spinoff and  indirect benefits impact the arts, tourism, and international trade aand commerce.

The money he receives from the government purse  goes to the upkeep of property that benefits the economy of the UK. The Royals voluntarily pay income tax, and I expect that is is many times more than what you pay or have ever paid.
