A street race between two pickup trucks on Mittraphap Road in Phitsanulok province ended in deaths, on the evening of 6 November, leaving Four people dead and seven others injured. The vehicle drivers reportedly lost control during the race, colliding with a motorcycle before one truck slammed into a parked construction vehicle. Police have detained both drivers for questioning and legal proceedings.

Officers from Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station received reports of a serious crash involving multiple vehicles near a Bangchak petrol station in Samo Khae subdistrict. Rescue workers from the Prasat Boonsathan Foundation arrived to find a severely damaged Isuzu D-Max pickup truck (registration from Phitsanulok). Inside the vehicle were three injured passengers and one deceased elderly woman. The injured, three adults and one child, were rushed to hospital, where one, an elderly woman later succumbed to her injuries.

Nearby, responders found a fallen Honda motorcycle (registration from Phitsanulok) with its male rider critically injured. He was transported to hospital for emergency treatment, but also later died from his injuries. A short distance away, a parked Nissan pickup truck (registration from Phitsanulok) belonging to a road construction crew had been struck from behind. One male worker was found dead at the scene, while four others sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Police later discovered another Isuzu D-Max pickup (registration from Bangkok), about 100 metres from the crash site, showing signs of collision damage. The male driver had initially fled the scene but was quickly tracked down and arrested. During questioning, he reportedly admitted to racing with the other pickup before both lost control and colliding with the motorcycle and the construction vehicle.

Authorities have reviewed CCTV footage confirming that both pickups were racing side by side along the highway before the crash occurred. Police said the reckless competition directly caused the chain collision and multiple casualties. Both drivers are now in custody as investigators prepare to press charges for reckless driving resulting in death and injury.

And what's also important is that, even though they think they can drive like Verstappen, they're not Dutch.😉
