Authorities raided seven locations across Pattaya and Phuket on 8 November 2025, dismantling a major drug network linked to jailed gang leader Pakawat, alias “Jo Khon Sai Thong.” Two suspects were arrested during the operation, while additional key members remain in custody from previous arrests and now facing further charges.

The raid was directed by Pol. Maj. Gen. Phatthanasak Bupphasuwan and led by Pol. Col. Phattharawut Onchuay, targeting two sites in Chonburi and five in Phuket. Arrested were Miss Orjira at a Pattaya apartment and Mr. Phuwanat at a Sriracha condominium, both charged with distributing Class 1 narcotics and money laundering. Authorities also seized additional evidence from the suspects’ residences.

The operation followed the earlier arrest of a minor drug courier in Phuket, found with 6.9 kilograms of methamphetamine and 200,000 meth pills intended for distribution via a private courier company. Investigations traced the shipment back to Pakawat, a high-ranking southern drug network leader currently imprisoned, prompting the issuance of five warrants for those involved.

Additional suspects, including Pakawat’s partner and another associate, remain in custody for further legal proceedings. Preliminary interrogations revealed that the suspects denied involvement. Police have submitted all evidence and charges to the Phuket City Police for prosecution.

Police noted that dismantling high-level drug networks often requires multi-location coordinated operations, combining intelligence from previous arrests and evidence from ongoing investigations. Authorities continue monitoring drug distribution channels to prevent further criminal activity.
