Last Friday, U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut issued a permanent injunction blocking Donald Trump’s attempt to federalize and deploy the National Guard into Portland, Oregon. Immergut, a Trump nominee, concluded that the administration had no legal authority to intervene, since civilian law enforcement could handily manage the anti–Immigration and Customs Enforcement protests on its own. Her ruling largely turned on credibility: Oregon said its own police had the situation under control; the Justice Department claimed the city was in the grip of a violent emergency. Immergut found Oregon far more believable, dismissing many of the government’s assertions as exaggerations or worse.

Almost as much fun as the rantings of those whose chosen candidate suffered a crushing , some might say embarrassing , electoral defeat.  Surely you must all be secretly glad that Trump won, Or do you really believe Harris could do a better job ?

                Anyway, Remind me again, how many presidential candidates there were, in addition to Harris and Trump ? If I am not not mistaken the US election was effectively a binary choice between the two of them and Harris lost.  If I am mistaken tell me who came third and fourth. 

                 Maybe some of your  no doubt "highly educated friends" could  find enough monosyllabic words to use in an attempt to explain the ways of the world  to you in a way you might understand, although  I don't think so.

  Twenty-two candidates for president, in addition to Trump and Harris.  Jill Stein and RFK, Jr. finished 3rd and 4th, respectively, in the popular vote though neither garnered electoral votes.
