But always the last stitch went through the dead man’s nose to make sure he was dead.

That would be a difficult task if he were Asian, stubby nose would be difficult to get that sewing needle through

  • The people who declared her death should be prosecuted.... the doctors and nurses are educated to find out if somebody died, but this is terrible.. not only for the poor woman but also for the family.

I think you will find that no doctor or nurse said she was dead or issued a death certificate.

My English missus used to try that trick every time I wanted sex. Never stopped me though.

There seems to be a few versions of the story with different facts, the source of the information is based on a guy from a village so who knows what the real facts are as what I read is different to this, I am not arguing, just making a statement. 👍

I agree with what you have said. My son read an article to me which I thought was my story but it was different. I think that there are two stories of this happening very close together. The woman was only 64.

Maybe you should have read the update above, as nothing new in the ABC story, which has just been copied from the Thai media sources.

I would have to disagree - the Thaiger article does not make it clear that the temple had also refused to proceed, due to the lack of a properly-issued death certificate, and in fact makes it look as if the temple authorities were trying to go ahead with the cremation.

Whereas the ABC article clarified that the temple had told them they needed a proper death certificate and was in the process of explaining to them what the procedure was, to get one, when noises were heard coming from the coffin.

What Thaiger article, I wrote this and the update. The hospital refused to accept the body as stated in the update.

“After departing Phitsanulok at 03:00 and arriving at Chulalongkorn Hospital around 10:00, he was told the donation could not be accepted without a death certificate and was advised to file a report at Yannawa Police Station.”

The article was based on the details from both Thai national media sources and video from the scene, supported by local Thai reporters and emergency responders who were at the scene, with details verified from multiple sources.

Yet you think a report probably written by a staffer behind a computer at ABC, who I doubt speaks Thai, has the more accurate details, from what was most likely a general international news feed, rather than the first hand experience.
