Thailand Flood Situation Eases but 14 Provinces Still Affected

Flooding continues in 14 Thai provinces, mainly across the Central Plains, although water levels are receding in most areas. More than 690,000 people remain affected, according to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM).

 

Flood levels have eased in many locations but remain stable in parts of Suphan Buri, Ayutthaya, and Nakhon Pathom.

Affected Areas 

Central Plains (8 provinces)

  • Uthai Thani: Muang

  • Sing Buri: In Buri, Phrom Buri, Muang, Bang Rachan, Tha Chang

  • Ang Thong: Pa Mok, Wiset Chai Chan, Chai Yo, Muang

  • Suphan Buri: Muang, Bang Pla Ma, Song Phi Nong, U Thong, Si Prachan, Don Chedi, Doem Bang Nang Buat

  • Ayutthaya: Sena, Phak Hai, Bang Ban, Bang Sai, Bang Pa-in, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Bang Pahan, Bang Sa-ai, Ban Phraek, Maha Rat, Lat Bua Luang, Nakhon Luang, Wang Noi

  • Pathum Thani: Sam Khok, Muang

  • Nonthaburi: Muang, Pak Kret, Bang Kruai, Bang Bua Thong

  • Nakhon Pathom: Bang Len, Sam Phran, Nakhon Chai Si

 

Southern Provinces (4 provinces) – water levels receding

  • Surat Thani: Khian Sa, Phra Saeng, Ban Na San, Phunphin, Ban Na Doem

  • Nakhon Si Thammarat: Cha-uat, Muang, Chaloem Phra Kiat, Pak Phanang, Phrom Khiri, Chian Yai

  • Trang: Kantang, Muang

  • Songkhla: Ranot, Krasae Sin, Sathing Phra, Singha Nakhon

 

Northern Provinces (2 provinces) – lower flood levels

  • Phitsanulok: Bang Rakam

  • Nakhon Sawan: Chum Saeng, Muang, Phayuha Khiri, Krok Phra

 

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and support affected communities as water levels gradually decline.
