A foreign man suffered serious injuries after jumping from an elevated expressway in Bangkok late on Friday, December 26, 2025, prompting an emergency response and ongoing police investigation. He sustained fractures to both legs and was taken to hospital, where he remains under treatment.

The incident occurred at about 9:35 p.m. on the Sirat Expressway near Rama 9, according to Pol. Lt. Col. Pongjinda Wiriyaprakob of Makkasan Police Station. Police said the man jumped from the elevated roadway onto a parallel street below, causing significant injuries but leaving him conscious.

Rescue workers were already present at the scene after noticing the man walking back and forth on the expressway. When the rescue team approached to offer assistance, the man jumped from the elevated road.

Emergency responders provided first aid at the scene before transporting him to Rajavithi Hospital. Medical staff confirmed that both of his legs were fractured, and authorities described his condition as serious. The man has not yet been identified, police said. He was not carrying identification documents at the time of the incident.

However, officers reported that he had an amount of cash on him. This included approximately 5,500 UAE dirhams and 10,400 Thai baht. Pol. Lt. Col. Prasert Wongcharoen, deputy superintendent of Makkasan Police Station, said investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police are working to establish the man’s identity and determine what led to his actions.

Khoasod reported the investigation remains ongoing as the man continues to receive medical care. Police said further updates would be provided if additional information becomes available.

Only really two reasons why some guy would do a Peter Pan off an expressway, either money or woman/love... or all of them combined.
