Hanoi police have detained Tran Quoc Luong and his father, Tran Nhat Hoa, on suspicion of disrupting public order following a violent incident involving their dog and a neighbor. The confrontation initially began on December 25 in Hong Van Commune, when Luong, 37, and his 39-year-old neighbor got into an argument. Although Hoa, 66, initially managed to break up the dispute, tensions flared again later that day.

As Luong let his dog out, another altercation erupted when he came across the neighbor and the neighbor's wife again. During this argument, Hoa reportedly struck the neighbor multiple times. Luong then directed his Pitbull, which weighs over 30 kilograms, to attack the neighbor and nearby bystanders, spreading panic in the community.

Witnesses reported that the highly aggressive dog also attacked a woman standing nearby, leading to multiple injuries and a public disturbance. Despite efforts to restrain the animal, it continued its aggressive behavior, escalating the situation further. Authorities are now investigating whether Luong and Hoa's actions constitute a violation of public order laws, reported VN Express.

Key Takeaways

  • Two men in Hanoi are detained after releasing a dog during a dispute.
  • Multiple injuries and public disorder resulted from the incident.
  • Authorities are investigating potential legal charges against the men.

Wow.  Guess the dog should be put down, and the owners put into jail.  Maybe a lesson for Thailand in this?
