The purpose of the county was not to be a theocracy in the form of government but the essential nature of the people was still Christian nonetheless.

This isn't even about the government aspect really, it's about Muslims in general and the fact they're holding positions of power now.

Before 1965 they wouldn't even let these people immigrant because they weren't white let alone Muslim. That tells you all you need to know.

We could post endless examples of quotes and spend hours on this but one that stands out to me is: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other" from John Adams.

Virtually everyone who fought in the world wars and every other war was Christian. It's so embedded it's impossible separate. The essential nature of the country was/is Christian because it reflects the people themselves regardless of any form of government. And yes I'm saying this is a non-Christian because it's undeniably true.

I think the propositional nation is a great lie which Americans believe. You can disagree with literally anything you want about the country and you won't have your citizenship revoked so clearly the proposition means nothing. At the end of the day all we have is people occupying land and if they don't mix well then you get conflict...so here we are now.

John Adams also imposed religious tests for state government.

So, Irish Americans don't mix well? Italian Americans don't mix well? Polish Americans don't mix well? When these folks immigrated to the states there were lots of people unhappy about it. At the time, the notion of these people wasn't that America was a Christian nation. But that it was a Protestant nation. And that Catholics would owe their first allegiance to the Pope. The aptly named No Nothing party rose on the strength of its opposition to Irish Catholics.

As for current situation. Interracial marriage is sharply on the rise. Most Americans, apart probably from yourself and like minded folks, have no problem with interracial marriage:

BTW, I am an Atheist, would I have to swear? When I got naturalised [Australian] I was given the possibility to make a statement of allegiance to the Queen instead of swearing allegiance. Doubt that would be the case in religious fanatic US.
