Cover for m/c which doesn't tear easily.

Featured Replies

Is anyone able to recommend where in Jomtien/Pattaya I could purchase a "long-lasting" protective cover for a Honda Lead m/c?

Originally, I bought one for THB450 from the same place where I bought the m/c --- Mityon in Thepprasit road. Unfortunately, it began to tear quite quickly. By the time I had used it for a few months, there was more duct tape than fabric on it!

TIA

David.

I bought successfully a few from Lazada.

Not especially this one, but it is a good start. These cheap covers never last long in the sun, but if you got some shade they do.

Yes, I got ones for the truck from Lazada that were not bad, although the sun seems to break many down given time.

Maybe it's a case of back to the future and treat the cheap fabric chemically for sun and water protection. We had a huge army-surplus canvas tent that my Dad bought in the late 50's and it was still going strong in the 70's. It got an annual dose of some concoction that seemed to give it longevity.

I'm sure something could be sprayed or brushed onto a bike cover to extend its serviceability.

I treat them as expenditure. If I can use one every day for two years, I reckon I've got my money's worth. Some go for a lot longer. The best ones seem to be online as others have suggested.

Exhaust and engine heat damages the plastic and wind does the rest.

Looking at the Hisoron Motorbike Cover from Lazada. Retails 750 baht.

Looks more like the traditional car covers I bought in Florida with soft lining and water resistant exterior.

I have not tried it yet but looks much better quality than the others.

I've purchased probably 6 car covers from California Car Cover for a truck parked outside in Florida. The wind and sun will destroy most materials with mine only lasting about 4 years.
