My marriage visa is due this year. My current passport must be renewed early next year. If I renew my marriage this year will Thai immigration transfer the marriage visa to my new passport? Or is it better if I renew my passport this year and then apply for a marriage visa.

100% only submit a Marriage Extension with a minimum 12 months validity. Failing to produce a Passport with less than 12 months validity will result in you being granted the extension for the period of time remaining in your current passport. I know this as I was silly enough to do it with a passport with 5 months remaining and then had to repeat the process once I obtained the new passport. The extension you are applying for is non_ transferable to a new passport.
