Greenland used to belong to Norway since early Viking age , then we went into a union with Denmark and the rest is history. So the US can't claim any rights here .

No, seriously, who are we supposed to protect Greenlanders from? There is not a single threat in the area. Just lies from Trump. There are no Russian or Chinese ships, or any threats whatsoever. Both China and Russia are denying having any interest of taking over Greenland. Nor do they have any presence in the area.

I wouldn't put Putin and Trump in the same sentence though. Putin's the greatest world leader of the 21st century. Took a broken struggling Russia about to be ripped apart by western bankers and corrupt oligarchs, set it on its feet, dusted it down and turned it into a thriving society.

Trump's head is somewhere between grandiosity and dementia. Thanks to Putin's restraint we don't have WW3 missiles flying. But his patience may not last. The recent attempt on his life had CIA's pawprints all over it.

Relations between Denmark and Greenland have never been as smooth as the Danes would have the rest of us believe, going back to the days up until 1953 when the Danes were forcibly sterilising Inuit women.

Strange that the Greenland PM has decided before even seeing the offer... His citizens may change his mind if each and every one of them could have become a multi-millionaire.
