A foreign female tourist reportedly injured a Thai woman by throwing a bottle from a Bolt car in Jomtien, Pattaya. The incident took place in the early hours of 19 January 2026, according to Bolt driver Mr. Komsan Sanamkhet. He described how his passenger threw a bottle from the car, hitting a motorcyclist near a seafood restaurant.

Mr. Komsan recounted the events, stating that after picking up the passenger from a lane behind the restaurant, she threw the bottle once they were on the beachfront road. Upon hitting the Thai motorcyclist, the tourist offered to pay 2,000 baht but instead exited the car, threw a bottle again, and attempted to flee.

The driver stopped the vehicle to address the situation, but the foreign woman became irate and hurried towards a shared pickup taxi. She then ran on foot towards Sukhumvit Road, evading Mr. Komsan's attempts to involve the police by hiding in an abandoned building. A subsequent search by Mr. Komsan and law enforcement did not locate her.

The morning following the incident, Mr. Komsan shared details in an online group, discovering that the woman had later taken a motorcycle taxi without shoes from the abandoned building. The Thai victim has since filed a report with Na Jomtien police, officially documenting the encounter, reported Khaosod.
