You know this for a fact? Those macaques are aggressive little b’stards and will attack and bite without provocation. My kid was bitten and I’ve seen them jump on people (in towns!) unprovoked. They are a pest in Lopburi and Songkhla especially, coming into town and climbing over schools, getting into houses etc. About time the Thai gov culled the things.

Negativity knows no bounds.

Theres nothing wrong with a negative comment when its accurate.

Even the monkeys here hate tourists.

Not surprising, really.

This is what happens when all the western "influencers" make on nuisance towards animals.

In fact, not really sure who is finally the real dumb monkey in this case ??

Macaques can do serious damage if they feel threatened, They also carry the herpes B virus and can infect humans. Avoid them whenever possible. If you are going to visit an area where the macaques have become accustomed to humans and lost their fear of them, make sure you have an effective means of warding them off. A water pistol filled with an ammonia solution works well, as does a long flexible bamboo "whip." Monkeys will usually back away at the sight of the whip.

Please share with us your wisdom about a less cruel method of fending off an angry macaque.

Was the little girl in this picture being cruel to the monkey?

Do you need to have sex with the macaque to get infected by the Herpes B virus?

Just asking...

Are you worried or just asking for a friend? Getting bitten by a macaque is enough to infect you.

Can’t influence monkeys. 🤣

You will have upset the dinosaurs now, you will be bombarded with negative thumbs down, but never mind, just laugh as I do. 😄

Because they can press the keys on a keyboard and write words they think they know everything on how the whole networking/social-media works these days.

I do not follow influences etc but I know they are there for a reason, it is a business and it works.

"....you will be bombarded with negative thumbs down..."

You were right, but I'll do it like you: I just laugh.

I spend a lot of time around macaques in a different country, where the monkeys are very relaxed.

They never steal from people and even if they feel threatened, they just warn you to back off.

One jumped on my shoulders once, then jumped off.

I would suggest that the monkeys in Thailand are aggressive for the same reason some of the dogs are.

It's all down to the people around them.
