There is no such thing as an influencer. Whatever she was doing would not make anyone else do anything or buy anything. It is an excuse for not getting a job.

Share! You know this for a fact? Those macaques are aggressive little b’stards and will attack and bite without provocation. My kid was bitten and I’ve seen them jump on people (in towns!) unprovoked. They are a pest in Lopburi and Songkhla especially, coming into town and climbing over schools, getting into houses etc. About time the Thai gov culled the things.

February 20Feb 20 This only makes sense when it was the rabies vaccine. 5 rounds to be expected if she didn't have it previously. I wonder why this (and the costs) aren't mentioned. So you can risk interacting with the monkeys but should know the possible consequences. I did it for years and can confirm that there was only one incident when I pulled back a bag that a monkey had already grabbed, and it attacked. Otherwise they are like dogs and know exactly how not to penetrate your skin while biting teasingly. They might even start grooming you, looking for lice. So they can be gentle, too.
February 20Feb 20 Stupid C. It takes 3-7 days for symptoms to appear. Herpes B virus is transmitted by monkey bites. Mortality is 80%. She should have brought more bananas - they got pissed when she ran out.
February 20Feb 20 Usually I stop reading at the mention of an influencer but I wanted to find out if the monkey was OK. 😝😂😝
February 20Feb 20 Anytime I go anywhere where there are monkeys present I carry a 1.5m long bamboo staff, and simply tapping it on a rock or a piece of wood scares the monkeys to the point where they won't come anywhere near you. Under no circumstances do you ever let a wild monkey come anywhere within the vicinity of your body.

They are generally okay if you don't stare at them or get food out, and make just enough noise so they know you are there. I've been hissed at a few times but never any escalation. It's highly likely that the German woman brought this on herself. Hope she learns from her mistakes.
February 20Feb 20 What was she trying to influence? The way to deal with wildlife?Personally, I avoid monkeys ever since having to fight them off in Lopburi 30 years ago. Never plan to go back.

They have massive influence over their followers or they wouldn't make money. Companies throw tens of thousands of dollars at these people for a minute slot on a video or product endorsement. I agree that it's bizarre, but that's the world we live in.

Oh and football supporters, who in their right mind would waste their time on that. 😃
