Still won't lower the PM2.5 concentration of the atmosphere, so not a good solution.

I agree but if you did stop all your moronic (i.e. most) posts it would reduce all sorts of other pollution, especially on AN!

I made the mistake of giving you a serious reply and you come back with this nonsense. You sound like someone who has masturbated too much as a child.

We need government officials who are capable of dealing with this public health crisis. Any ideas on how to get competent people into positions of authority?

During the past seven days, we have seen PM2.5 particulates reach over 400 on the AQI in some parts of Chiang Mai.

Are you getting these figures from an AirQuality app, from what you read on AI, or ARE YOU REALLY IN CHIANG MAI?

It is not anywhere on this planet!

a. Yes. I am really in Chiang Mai. And, the figures posted were really from Chiang Mai.

b. Here is the link to the site: https://aqicn.org/city/chiang-mai/

c. So far, during the past two days, on my phone, I have received TWO ALERTS from the gov concerning CRAZY HIGH PM2.5 atmosphere concentrations.

d. Two days ago, I noticed a reading of over 600, not far from this area.

e. In conclusion, I AM REALLY IN CHIANG MAI.

f. Otherwise, where would I be?

Are you saying these figures are not true?

I suspect you must be one of those deniers of TipAdvisor who have just removed all posts warning visitors of the current health risks

It's no good waiting till they are there.

So does your location affect the level of pollution – if so, may I suggest you leave Chiang Mai immediately and take your pollution with you.

No, I am questioning whether GG is actually in CM as he regularly says. Anyone can get the AQI from many apps, like I can do right now without being in Thailand if I wanted.

Right now, 07.39. CR shows 269,CM is 233, and for me here in P'lok 156. Must go for a good cough. Cheers.

So how come being there gives you a more accurate reading...do you wander over the whole region with an AQI meter?

You have taken this wrongly. I merely questioned whether GG is cactually in Thailand, or could be anywhere, as I , obviously, can see what the AQI is annywhere.

Sure, but, Sweet Sixteen is the Golden Number, here where I am, when the outdoor temps reach 37 or 38.....

Never a frown, when the indoor temp is 16, and the outdoor temp is 37.

I must seal my cracks.

I must get my AQI down to less than one.

Thank you.

So good to be cold, when it's hot.

16 Degrees

Never a frown.

so what is the advantage of knowing he's in CM?

Yes. After the next election if it looks like it was rigged and the youth actually won, the entire country goes on strike, and shuts down every business, and every factory, until the corrupt fools give in, and the election results are overturned. Game over.

200 in Chiang Rai. I can actually smell the smoke outside my condo. Inside, 60 with only one of two air purifiers running.

A few years ago, it was 500. Both air purifiers full on were struggling to get below 100.

Currently 88 outside here.

I enjoy visiting CM in the cooler seasons.

Isn't this just like Trump's expectation on day two of his Iran operation, where he invited the locals to rise up and take over? That was the first indication to me that his 'planning' was seriously concerning.

Dear Folks,

During the past seven days, we have seen PM2.5 particulates reach over 400 on the AQI in some parts of Chiang Mai.

This season is shaping up to be more severe than the past two years, judging by the data this week, anyway.

During the past two years, the air quality was decent enough that wearing a respirator was almost more trouble than it was worth.

This week, however, I would not leave home without it (a good quality respirator).

We have still not reached the Dastardly Level, of the Smoking Season of five or six years ago, in 2019, I think it was. That year the air was Super-Thick.

My guess is that with the record-high air temps we are now experiencing, it will not be long until we also hit the Dastardly-Level AQI, at least for a week or two, a pleasure which I still so fondly recall during March and April of 2019.

When the AQI gets above the 500 level, then the sun turns orange, and our world loses color.

Aircraft become no-longer visible from the ground..And everything is brown.

Some days, I think I should have remained in New England, USA, with crisp autumn days, and the beauty of white-steepled churches on every street.

Have you seen what the Chiang Mai air is doing to the Moonlight, these days?

And, here is a nostalgic song from Smith College, where the Air is Clean...All the Time...

We shall overcome.

Thank you, 3M.

Regards,

Gamma

Note2:  This year, there is something new… I am now receiving PM2.5 Warnings on my Phone. Thanks for This….!!!

Note1: As of 9AM today, the air already looks like this. We are smokin’...!!!

It doesn't particularly matter to me right now.

^ I think you mean it doesn't particulately matter?
