Shopee must not want customers

I recently tried to buy an inexpensive tablet using both Shopee and lazada. I wanted to buy a Xiaomi SE model. Of course, I went for the lowest advertised price. Six separate orders, six counterfeits. Finally gave up. Fortunately, the return process is simple as they will pick the item up and the money credited to my debit card within a few days.

Lazada always prompt on the designated pick-up day, Shopee never on the designated day, always 2 to 5 days later.

I'm aware that I could buy from a Lazada shop designated LAZMALL with a guarantee of genuine goods but prices are more than I wanted to pay.

You get what you pay. I prefer the LAZMALL or SHOPPEEMALL sellers or at least a recommended or authorized seller. It pays to look out for the promotional periods and

to check several times daily during the promotion for special offers. I saved a lot of money by using offers with time limit valid only for 1-3 hours.

Trouble is the vendors are increasingly using QR code for payment when I happen to like "cash on delivery"

I have been using SHOPEE alongside LAZADA for many years and have never had any problems. If there are problems, they could well be the user's fault and less the fault of SHOPEE!

For Xiaomi products i like to stick to the official store, usually a little more but worth it

They seem to be faking "Official Stores" as well. One of the tablets was ordered on Shopee with the Xiaomi logo at the top of the listing saying "Official Store". I assumed I was safe, I was wrong. I tried to query Shopee CS but they are buried under so many layers of AI that any attempt at interaction is futile.

Maybe it was an official fake store.

And yes Shopee support is very much a waste of time. Also, most of their support pages is Thai only, and since it are images instead of plain text, you need to use a second device with google lens to translate.

They have English support at the call centre, but you could as well talk to a wall, as it will have the same result.

Customer is king is something that doesn't apply in Thailand

I do not know what systems you use to interact with Shopee but on Windows and Android you can use ALL of Shopee in English.

I recently claimed a refund nor a non delivered item and received a phone call yesterday in very good English to say that my refund request had been approved and that if the the seller now tried to deliver the item I was to refuse it.

Within minutes of the excellent phone call I received a very clear e-mail repeating what had been said in the phone call!

I believe that Shopee provide me with an excellent service!

Maybe it's just me, but not one thing I've ordered from any of the aforementioned online stores would I expect to receive as either genuine or quality products. If I order anything it's more like let's see what it is if it at all get delivered. Just my take on it.

Did you do your due diligence on the store rating, product reviews? the Lazada one i just ordered from has 75k followers, rating 99%, product 5* 1,500 sales. Lazmall = safe as houses, same process for Shopee
