I notice you seem to criticize, people that have everything you don't have. Never did answer my query about how small your condo is in Toronto, living the 15 minute city lifestyle.

Had to Google 'simp' ... "is internet slang for someone, typically a man, who shows excessive attention, submissiveness, or devotion to another person in hopes of gaining romantic or sexual favorite"

First house in USA was 250m², and I wasn't in a relationship when purchased. That house was larger than 1st & 3rd house in TH, 160m² / 1 rai & 130m² / 0.25 rai. Along with living space of 2nd Thai house.

2nd house was 400+m² 'under roof', on 6 rai, but reality, 160m² walled in living space. 2nd floor was all open, but if quick wall put up w/ceiling, and would have doubled living space. Daughter off to Uni, and in case 'coming home pregnant, easy, pre planned living accommodations, if needing. Thankfully it wasn't.

Far from flash, as nobody could see it ...

None 'show' houses, as could barely see them from the road. Designed by me, for me. Don't do 'look at me', obvious from my vehicle choices, and never needed to impress a woman with possessions, as my personality is more than enough. That's a loser's game, as someone always has more.

I don't know what is this picture supposed to represent. All this land removed from civilization and you still don't own it. I can own 10 times this land in canada for much less and the title would belong to me.

What lesson are you trying to teach me?

I guess I could be classed as the above. I had a 240 sq mtr, 4 bed house 14 years ago in my Mrs's village near Phitsanulok. We live there with wife's daughter and her 6 yr old son. All the Mrs family

I was about 2 hours into my first visit to my then girlfriends father when he took me in the car for a ride to a house and land with rubber trees. She told me it was for sale. I said no thanks.

I guess many of these faring build the house they could only dream about but never afford in their home country. Just they do not really own it. Renting is safer, but you can never customize it.

I was lucky enough to marry a girl who inherited her mum's house. Old, but decent sized plot. I spend my 'rent money' getting it upgraded every couple of years. Keeps the wife happy that her house gets her respect but not so lavish that other Thais get too jealous.

A lesson in logic and deductive reasoning it is then.

@KhunLA lives a happy and fulfilled life here in Thailand with his wife of many years and has many local real estate deals under his belt.

Now over to you:

I funded the land purchased in my Thai gf name

I will own the new house that we will build on the land

All relevant legal paperwork sorted by a good lawyer based in Bkk

But the house cannot be seen from the road and really is very privtae

So yes it will be large by Thai standards- but not in the locals face as it cannot be seen at all

A nice home but low profile will suit me well
