Funny that — I’ve seen the exact same look back home. It’s called ‘doing the weekly shop and questioning every life decision in aisle 7.’ Doesn’t matter if it’s Tuk Com or Tesco… that fluorescent ligh

The concept is 10 years past its expiry. The days of an "IT" mall to sell mobile phones and IT gear are over. The telecom providers sell the devices in their outlets now. My AIS shop has the sam

It kinda did when most of the ceiling was missing or threatening to fall on the escalator. It has come back to life a bit and the food court gets packed. Parking difficult by midday at weekends.

Your flights must be dirt cheap to make that comparison worthwhile!

In the day....twas a great place to shop for electronics.

Park at the free parking station then a cup of coffee then up to the IT sections, good fun.

Was always packed.

Quite aggressive sales people on the phone floor.

I" m sure they can get other jobs !

I think the land owners have bigger plans for the plot ..there was a news article just a few days ago.

They always do until the house of cards collapses, 5 Thai banks already paused all future developments before Iran war even escalated. That building isn't going anywhere for another decade to come. Real estate hasn't been sustainable since a decade already in general, it is easy to forget how it all went to Thailand being raped in 2016 to 2026 today, that's 10 years passed by already. How is this New Nordic case doing lol.

I would say it has come back to life more than just 'a bit'. The shopping center has undergone a tremendous facelift, both inside and out, including a name change. Most of the restaurants have redone their spaces and a number of new restaurants have been added. The Big C anchor grocery store has also been completely redone. The whole shopping center really looks great now and people are flocking back, making the investment one that has paid off. It's been very busy the last couple of times we have been there.

Leaving Pattaya on Klang the other day it took a second to recognize Bic C. It's looking good.

Well, it moved to TukCom, after the building was sold.

Shops were obviously boarded up because they were in the process of being renovated

obviously now in hindsight but at the time it looked like it was dying, remember the leaky ceiling for a year+ and a builder died falling through the ceiling. I can't remember any early threads commenting on a refurb, late threads yes when it was obvious

Your Aboriginal family must be extremely proud that you made it. Quite the success story.

Recently made a trip to Tuk Com to update the black box. Had to wait awhile so strolled down to Tops.......big mistake.....what a sorry place.....so depressing.

Everybody in the mall just looks beat down.

I kinda feel sorry for the foreigners who have made that area their home.

Was in there last month and I agree 100%.

It is a shadow of it's former self and will be closed down soon.

I walked in - and walked straight out.

Wow really ?

I always found their prices comparable to Western prices

I could get a lot more cheaper in Aldi in Australia

Should you not be saying that you CAN get stuff cheaper in Aldi OZ. AS YOU ARE STILL THERE?

Even they, if they ever existed, would NOT line up to comment, or even acknowledge, any association or genealogical connection with such an attention seeking nonentity!

You're more than welcome GG. Perhaps your next trip to Thailand should include places other than Pattaya area.

He`s been everywhere and done just about everything....GG is the man...not LOL

Tukcom seems to have been failing all over Thailand – that has to be because the stuff they sell isn't required any more. It's very sad to see Amorn's places disappearing.

My AIS shop has the same items as the mall and it will offer a financing plan that the mall cannot. Tops-Power Buy offers all the electronics as does Lotus, and the factory outlets. They weren't doing that when the Tukcom concept started. It's like video rentals. They had their day.

I totally agree.
