This isn't about the personal details of the youtuber. It's about the message in the content.

  • The video discussed an elderly man who allowed his Thai wife to manage his finances. This was a dumb decision from the start. One should never trust anyone with their money. The man then complains abo

True

I wonder how the Aussie expats get a visa on their average 40k a month old age pension?

I guess they must have the 800k in the bank ?

What's the point having insurance that probably won't pay?

Now if insurance was required to pay for all claims with no exclusions, that might be worthwhile.

I stopped buying insurance when my broken jaw was not covered when they claimed it was cosmetic.

I've linked a couple of this guy's videos before.

He bashes Thailand constantly.

Although he pretends otherwise, the most bitter youtuber is the one who recently returned home.

Yep, maybe he had a failed marriage and lost a lot in real estate.

Then these folks go back home and get revenge on Thailand, spending 20% of their waking lives creating content to make the place look bad.

Things can go wrong. But no different than back home, really.

it's not Thailand. Some people have better lives than others anywhere in the world.

So scroll by, and stop following me around giving me thumbs downs because you disagree with something. Speak it here instead and why. I've been talking about moving the last year and a half, and you don't know my situation so it's better to just again, scroll by.

That would be a lot of scrolling,do you have this on automatic repeat?

Word of advice, Don't be a Markus, Grow a set, be accountable for your actions.

The only problem with retirement in Thailand, too many freaky foreigners. Go home weirdos 😡

Burning one CD costs from $5 -$10 USD, including the media. It isn't all about the money but the ability to choose from any album, songs, that you want to listen to, and having a collection, which is why anyone collects anything. To anyone else who just looks to Bluetooth this means nothing. To someone who really loves CD's, it means more. Some still buy Vinyl for this reason.

Have you heard of Spotify, 60bht/month for all music.

Who on earth uses CDs?

You can customize your own playlists plus Spotify has made some really nice lists for me just based on my listening habits. Great value for sure. I still cant believe he brought all that crap over here, and now wants to take it back.

If you haven't noticed, hundreds of members repeat themselves here daily, and have for years, so picking on one, especially when it's regarding want of a better life for his child, isn't warranted. Usually I'm also answering another who started the conversation.

Many are antagonistic, not caring to hear the truth but what they can do to turn that truth around, which is strange behavior and flaming.

Ask yourself why you thought of replying to me, as I'm thinking it wasn't about me talking about my plans but something else entirely. I get negatives here just because I'm an American, even though I'm prejudiced towards no one, and others thinking I like Trump just because I support what America does in some things. If you don't want to read anything, it's easy just to go onto another right?

Youtube has millions of free songs .... and most have videos which is better than just sound. CDs don't make any sense to me.

Yes, but I've had this collection ever since CD'S came around. I like that I can bring a bunch of CD's with me on a trip and just go to a song easily, instead of searching on Bluetooth. A collection again. Millions still use CD's, and they are still for sale, even though many of mine are burned. I rarely listen to music at home.

Nobody disses you for being American.

But it would be against forum rules for me to specify the real reasons.

Maybe you could ask god to tell you.

Only a fisherman understands catching them for the table and sport. I brought everything i own besides my hunting equipment as I planned to stay here for some years before returning. Too much to put into storage that long and I needed most of it anyway. Thailand's music is okay, but can't compare to the west in any way.

Youtube has most western songs even rare ones.

Youtube is free dude! All types of music.

There are no other reasons, as arguing in a discussion without flaming, as I do besides against those few trolls who I defend myself against. I'm helpful and respectful, and have nothing against anyone on earth besides those who intentionally hurt others.

I'm lying here on the sofa and just say out loud

"Hey Google, play opera"

And off Spotify goes ...........

You can specify any style, artist, or a particular track ........ No need to carry anything around beyond your phone.

A youtube search is quicker than finding a cd from a collection of 10,000.

As I said, this is my deal, and others can do what they want. I like popping in a cd and going to certain tracks in the order I want to hear them, without having to look at my phone on Bluetooth. No need to wonder why, as you are free to listen to music any way you want.

Again, seeing I mentioned this before. I can take a bunch of CD's with me when I go on a road trip. 20 CD's are usually enough. No searching, looking at my phone. Just pop in a CD at a time, then listen. And it's 50K. Capiche?

The retirements visa is one year right

You'll be living in 4000 Baht a month rented box room though and on a bicycle , so you wont have to worry about that scenario

Possessions are cumbersome and slow you down and make you stagnant.

Then instead of moving when you need to, it takes 2 years to make the move to manage all the logistics.

Amassing a lot of physical possessions only makes sense when you know you will stay in the same place for the rest of your life, which is not that common anymore.

The powers that be, in their infinite wisdom, saw this nomadic trend in advance, and started moving media online a long time ago.

You said you were a homebody, now you are road tripping with cds. No capiche. Makes no sense. Your phone will do it all for you.
