    Nope, love living here.

I’m more curious where you live that’s so flawless. A utopia, is it? No drunks, no dodgy headlines, no locals behaving badly… just everyone sipping herbal tea and filing their taxes early?

Why do you have such a compulsion to post dispiriting content on this forum. That’s the question you should be asking.

You seem to be blaming the messenger rather than the constant negative news from Pattaya. He couldn't post as often if there were not constant video accounts.

claiming you shouldn't move to pattaya because of indians and russians is racist.

why should only white westerners be allowed to live there?

and these people don't bother you.

Is it racism or simply pattern recognition?

All news in negative ... if it bleeds, it leads

Valid point, the OP posts nothing but negativity about TH, since he's too poor to live here, (lots of envy) and is a bit telling in itself. Can't even afford to live in home country (Germany ?), and goes to socialist Canada for public assistance, along with having wife working in his retirement.

Why is he even posting about TH, along with so many that don't live or visit regularly. If you haven't been here in over 5 yrs, or visit yearly, you haven't got a clue.

Along with so many, have only been to touristy BKK, CM, Patts, Patong, Samui. Certainly don't represent most of TH.

Tourist areas don't represent TH. Like saying USA is like NYC everywhere, or Los Angeles & Honolulu.

Some of the comparisons folks make about TH and other countries are absurd. Not taking into consideration the different lifestyles in different areas; touristy, metro, semi rural, rural areas.

Lots of people like me. Especially women. White guys in Pattaya hate each other. That's why they get drunk and fight.

So true. Bang Saphan is a world away from Samui and Patts. You won't find 1 bad farang there plus the Thais are better.

Should imagine it's incredibly peaceful in your little jungle clearing in darkest Isaan or foggy Chiang Mai. It must be a beggar though when you want to have a bit of fun. Not everyone lives on Beach Road, Soi Buakhao or Walking Street.

Whoa ... hold on, weren't you there cheesy

Beware, if thinking about Muang, PKK, there's at least one nasty ol' ahole farang there who will snarl and look down on all the other little people, and Buddha forbid, don't make eye contact with him while at Makro or while he's walking his dog, at 'his' park or 'his' surfside coffee1

Than you're definitely in the wrong country, I hear Iran is a lovely place to be in

this time of the year, that is, if you don't mind the Basij police will grab you of the street and hang you?

Pattaya isn't Thailand. It is a western ghetto.

Bangkok is completely different from other parts of Thailand.

No such thing as "the real Thailand".

If you prefer Isaan, go for it. No one is stopping you.

But you're practically living in another country. They are worlds apart.

Largely because it caters to tourists and a bunch of expats living there. And many Thais there have cash, to the amenities cater to that demographic.

It doesn't make it bad. It's just different.

If you prefer Isaan, go for it. No one is stopping you.

Pattaya 240,000, 35,000 westerners 15%

Bangkok 10m, 70,000 westerners 0.7%

Pattaya is a farang ghetto!

This Youtuber George Newman just put out a video comparing city life to beach life in Thailand. Some people don't necessarily even choose the best option for themselves and end up getting bored ... there are pros and cons to each place you live.

Where did you say you are again? I can't imagine being in the middle of nowhere Thailand. It's not for me.

What makes George an expert? Most retired people are bored cause no work frees up 50 hours of time. They don't know what to do.

You need a weekly plan.

Not necessarily.

Because you've been planning your whole life frantically for decades.

So some people in retirement really just want to decompress.

The stress builds up over the years. We're always on the go, always have a to do list for years and years.
