Very friendly, but also, not at expat/tourist bars. Thai venues, or just during everyday life, no alcohol involved at all. Simply a smile and talking. Of course I was only 47-51 yrs old then, and could always pass for 10 yrs younger. Meeting someone late 20s or 30s was easy.

Not interested in anything younger, and would be suspect if they were in me.

You don't dress in shorts & t-shirt when out on the prowl. Always a collared shirt when in public. T-shirts are for working around the house, and never in your undershirt in public, not that I ever owned any.

I'm amazed what I see some folks where in public, especially when obviously out for evening. Beach wear is for the beach, and for Buddha sake, look in the mirror, is your waist larger than your chest. Have some damn self respect.

From what I know about the definition, they're just laid back people who like rock music, are friendly, swear a lot, act like those on Crocodile Dundee, are somewhat loud , and love beer.
