Aren't you embarrassed to live in Pattaya

Where have you been? Endless negative remarks about the US and UK. Bad weather, bad women, cost of living.

3 minutes ago, Rockyroad said:

Some here obviously dislike the US as they couldn't make it there with a woman, so came to a place where it's easier, and nothing wrong with that. Some think this is paradise and will eventually see it for what it is, and some are content here so if they like it, that's up to them. The US has all sorts of weather, and staying up north is hard because of the cold, so moving south is what millions do, like myself. Nothing wrong with the women if you treat them with respect and actually listen to them. I will eventually visit the UK as it's history to me but the US is home.

    Nope, love living here.

I’m more curious where you live that’s so flawless. A utopia, is it? No drunks, no dodgy headlines, no locals behaving badly… just everyone sipping herbal tea and filing their taxes early?

Why do you have such a compulsion to post dispiriting content on this forum. That’s the question you should be asking.

Expert on what? Everyone makes mistakes picking partners unless you're lucky enough to marry your childhood sweetheart. I don't live in a shack but a nice house which I will get money for before we leave. Thailand is a varied place that looks much the same besides those mountains and beaches.

Mountains are scenery everywhere, and are nice to look at or hunt in, but not here, but it isn't a good place to wander with all the snakes and mines in some locations. It isn't near like what other countries like the US offers, where you can meander through mountains in every state, only being aware where there are bears. Beaches are nice all over, Thailand having some pretty ones, but they're slowly being destroyed by tourism and over fishing.

Thailand is very popular with motorbikers both north and south. The kayaking areas are nice too. Gyms are dirt cheap. At home it costs $20 per visit or $1000 a year. I can train on the beach in Thailand for $2.50. I can stay in a bungalow for $35 versus $300 back home. I can eat a meal on the beach for $2.50 vs $30 back home. A fan train costs 24 baht for 1 hour taking you to a cute town.

I found Hawaii to be like Phuket. Just more expensive.

The difference being , seeing things are more expensive back in the west, is the wages are higher. Yes, some things are very cheap here, but many things aren't near as good.

You're right, nothing on AN matters. It is just old guys gossiping. Mostly lefties that hate their home country and choose Thailand due to hookers and low condo prices.

Is that why you "claim" to be are here?

Hawaii is a state, with some nice areas and scenery, as my son told me when he lived there, but Phuket is a tourist city, very built up and crowded.

The cities are far more dirty but there's more culture. Night markets are much the same but good to have. Street stalls with fresh fruit. Thai 7/11s are good to as more options. Thai trains are awesome fun. You get to buy food n drinks delivered to your seat at fair prices. Thais are friendly. Westerners are mostly unfriendly and miserable.

That is not what you said earlier!

$35 US is 1100 Baht!

So you were an expert before but still got married and divorced and lived in a shack in Isaan. Thailand is about mountains and beaches.

This sums you up mate. Thailand is so much more than beaches and mountains. All of us expats who love living here know that.

Thanks for once again proving you know know nothing of the real Thailand. Only the easy to google tourist side.

Soft drinks but NOT alcohol NOT since July 2014!

You cannot get alcohol either in a Buffet or delivered ever since a murder on a train in July 2014.

That ban is till in force!

You have been called out by the mods for that accusation in the last couple of days.

Rocky I am going to post where I am right now. Look at the photos and zoom in.

Please after all the calling out you do of other posters answer one question

Where are you right now? Post it up with proof.

@Rockyroad has just proved it's up to date knowledge of Thailand travel by posting this

"Thai trains are awesome fun. You get to buy food n drinks delivered to your seat at fair prices."

I think most would assume that drinks imply alcohol as I first did, hence the edit!

Why don't they get a life? Obviously they have no friends or hobbies. Their life is thumbs down. Two short unhappy old guys.

Honolulu has twice as many people per sq m as Phuket. The other islands less.

It has just proved what an outright liar it really is!

PS;

Just found the source of it's quote on AI;

Isn't any form of liquid that you consume considered a drink ? You have made the assumption that a drink strictly means alcohol.

Because it's not just a tourist area but a metropolis for the locals. It's also bigger in area.

Oahu is 3x bigger but Honolulu is smaller. Honolulu is like Patong. Full of tourists.

Was just heading out to walk up the beach for a cocktail then back for a late dinner and saw this "Howler"

Okay its not only Thailand you know nothing about Google King. Honolulu is a city a true metropolis, the capital of Hawaii. Phuket is a province in Thailand. Honolulu is situated on Oahu island which you dont even know exists. I mean this is insane. Why do you post about things you dont have a clue about.

Obviously you are clueless and those prices are rubbish. They sell 20 baht snacks and 10 to 20 baht drinks lol

You have never been on a Thai train 5555

No wonder you had to use google lol

Hilarious.

Moved to San Diego then back to Texas and bought a house mile from our old house. If you don't care much for beaches or fishing, an island is just another land mass.

I stated that assumption in an earlier quote when I edited them!

I still think that most people when using the word drink are referring to alcohol rather than drinks wrt soft drinks, but that is semantics!

Ask google! Alcohol lol People drink water, coke, tea and coffee on trains! That fool sits in a condo 365 days a year.
