Aren't you embarrassed to live in Pattaya

This is not true @Hummin I show you the respect of replying to your posts honestly. i don't need to try to win, because I know the truth will prevail. Whereas you are just creating suppositions and 'theories' to fit your solution.

You cook up strange things in your mind and then try to apply them to me. But they don't fit. You accuse me of being dishonest, but where is the evidence of that?

Surely you should have some evidence, even if not the complete picture. But you have nothing. Just your own thoughts and feelings...which are yours.

When I wrote about @fredwiggy's hypocrisy on claiming to be a Christian and a empath, I produce my evidence as to why I believe that. I present it rationally and logically. There is no abuse nor name calling.

Whereas both you and he, just throw out emotional epithets, with no evidence nor facts.

You keep suggesting that I am hiding. But where is the evidence of that? To the contrary, I make it clear as to who I am...every time.

You keep referring to 'changing nicks' as if it is detrimental to my reputation. But is it?

The truth will prevail @Hummin

You haven't proved anything. You have just cultivated an image. I get to the core. That's why my friends and relationships don't need money nor coercion. It's not something you have and that seems to eat away at you. You try to copy my style, throwing the things I say to you, back at me. But they don't fit me. They are for you.

You can say and deflect as much as you like. It doesn't change anything. Deep down, you know that. That's why you are rarely happy. Constantly looking for a new high.

How did you manage to become so perfect?

I’m more curious where you live that’s so flawless. A utopia, is it? No drunks, no dodgy headlines, no locals behaving badly… just everyone sipping herbal tea and filing their taxes early?

Why do you have such a compulsion to post dispiriting content on this forum. That’s the question you should be asking.

I noticed this pattern. It’s sort of pathetic, like it gets its rocks off trying to extend an argument. This covers it:

Common motives include:

  • Needing validation or attention

  • Feeling powerless in real life and regaining control online

  • Anger, resentment, or loneliness

  • Identity protection (“If you criticize my view, you’re criticizing me”)

  • Anxiety about uncertainty, leading to rigid certainty

  • A strong need to feel morally right or intellectually superior

There’s also a phenomenon called the “online disinhibition effect,” where people say things online they would never say face-to-face. The emotional distance changes behavior.

In some cases, compulsive arguing can overlap with personality traits such as:

  • Narcissistic traits (needing to dominate or always be right)

  • High trait aggression

  • Low emotional regulation

  • High neuroticism

  • “Dark triad” traits (especially trolling for amusement)

Here's a good video explaining why. Hopefully everyone here watches it so they can avoid those with the disorder in the future..............https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdjGnpOb5DI&t=1s.

There is no perfect. Just maintaining a good standard and trying to improve when possible.

I'm old school. Brought up to play fair. Cheating just confuses and introduces anomalies into the system. I prefer to be true. The people who recognise that will respect that. The people who hate that, need to figure out the reason for their hatred. It's nothing to do with me. It is within them.

I don't need to try to impress others with the superficial. My integrity is all that I need to prevail here.

But it doesn't apply to me. It applies to you. It's you who is stuck in a problem of your own making, but blaming everyone else.

How can I be powerless? I am free. it is you who is powerless. You keep trying to project your own feelings on to me.

So much copium in your life. Searching out 'solutions' that appear to absolve you of your folly.

Pattaya. Jomtiem. Good food massage fun. Good condos to stay with pools sauna and a nice outlook. If you want pristine beaches then go there but don't necessarily want to live in those places.

A guy on youtube called Borderless Office does a review of 30 Thai cities in 30 days. He only stays 1 to 2 nights. Bit rushed but a quick look at various places.

https://theborderlessoffice.com/30-thai-cities-in-30-days/

That guy lives in Surat. His favourite city. He loves the southern fish curries. I went to Surat twice but didn't stay long enough to judge the city properly.

I'm going to do Chumphon in depth. Might add on Surat as short train ride.

Troll posts making accusations if stalking removed @IsmeUno if you can’t discuss the topic without the continous baiting then don’t post.

Another day visiting the asylum 😊

People who don't involve themselves in the sex industry have no reason to be embarrassed about living in Pattaya. I know many people who live work and holiday there.

many unfinished condo projects in pattaya ?

In a nutshell. A couple unfinished projects named, including Waterfront and New Nordic. Very old news for both of them--Waterfront was stopped way back in 2014. The youtuber should have known this. So, a few unfinished projects, not 'many'. Some small, low-quality projects can be a harder sell--duh. Quality is still selling well, big projects are finding buyers for Foreign Quota units. Somewhat of a shift from investors to buyers who have relocated to Pattaya.

Information was presented that Pattaya is growing in desirability due to what it now has on offer, appealing more to families, the EEC, infrastructure improvements, etc. He may have wanted to find a 'property collapse coming soon' but he didn't present any evidence of it with his video.

As an aside...Phra Tamnak used to be one of my favourite parts of that side of Pattaya. Though the previous time I travelled through Soi 5, it looked like a tawdry entertainment strip, with clientele to match. Not everyone, but enough to attract the attention. Vape smoking lads of all shapes and sizes.

I guess people will be attracted to the bright lights, but all it's the character and charm has been stripped away.

Spouse and I lived at View Talay 3 on Pratamnak Soi 6 when we first came to Pattaya in 2010. That area was nice then--smallish, laid-back, just VT3, some other big condo projects, and Adriatic Hotel amongst a lot of smaller stuff. There was a nice beach pathway we would walk many evenings to the Jomtien restaurants. Pratamnak and Jomtien have had so much development and are now so congested we don't even like to go there anymore, and don't too much except to Immigration when required or to visit friends.

There are others, have you heard of the 45 floor Diamond Tower? on Pratumnak hill, well, it isn't it never got off the ground, everyone lost their money, that's one example.

People go all quiet when they've lost money on property

Poor guy, he's dead.

I rented one of my condos out to him and girlfriend Pink

I sold one of my Ducati's to a German guy, he got chopped up 🙁

Maybe it's me, doing business with foreigners.

I love Pattaya, over the decades I've made lots of money.

Slim pickings these days.

I'm lucky, made enough doing business here, I was never after financial rewards, I made enough money working offshore. Just selling stuff I didn't need and renting out unoccupied condos.

Got plenty money now.

Sure, Diamond Tower is another example, and there are others. Also true for other Thailand cities, not just Pattaya. I don't think there are enough to constitute being called 'many'--in Pattaya or anywhere else.

Waterfront is a special case, and not a failure due to lack of buyers or financing. It had plenty of buyers and construction was reportedly a year ahead of schedule when the project was halted--not for lack of funds or buyers, but for other reasons.

I see semi built projects outside of Pattaya, little protection for investors, deposits should go into an escrow account so the developer can't run off with the money, they'll need to get funding another way

If you took every alarming prediction on the internet to heart, you'd find yourself hiding in an underground bunker.

You really do come across as a clown. It wouldn't surprise me if you're just a small man looking for validation online. It seems like you might need supplemental oxygen just to climb a staircase. Honestly, you remind me of that overweight guy I saw on a mobility scooter in Pattaya.

I can picture a vibrant scene at Bangkok Disneyland, with people joyfully riding scooters along the sidewalks, as pedestrians navigating crosswalks face the danger of being struck by cars.

The only problem with that comment is that even though I agree with the sentiments I believe that clowns are meant to be both very funny as well as being stupid and clumsy!

Unfortunately, it only meets the second criteria in my opinion!

Aquatique project: Now sure what a Peppa Pig or Legoland is exactly, but should be fun outings for families.

Here are the full details of Aquatique Pattaya. This project will completely transform Central Pattaya.

Peppa Pig Theme Park

Aquaria Pattaya, the largest aquarium in the region

Water themed park

Bumrungrad Health Center

Massive retail complex over 110,000 sq m

Continues the trend, pioneered by T21, of most of the great, new development going in north of Central Festival. Families will be able to visit Pattaya, stay at Centara, Cape Dara, Centre Point Space, or the new Centre Point 3 Resort and do beach/ocean/resort activities, do all the Aquatique family attractions, do the kids attractions at T21, and never need to go farther south than Central Festival, where they can take in a movie. Plus, other attractions to take in out of town, as well.

Fair comment really- and politeness and courtesy can solve so many issues that otherwise can escalate into confrontation - of course cheap substance that are used by "Holiday millionaires" does not help but that is not exclusive to Pattaya

Spent a lot of time in Pattaya 1970s-1990s, but never lived there. Liked it a lot in those days. Laid back, easygoing life style, friendly RTP. Now split time between properties in Bangkok and Rayong. I follow reports on Pattaya which indicate a rather more fraught atmosphere than I remember, however I doubt I would ever be ashamed to live there.

I was once sitting with my niece over lunch with her friend who was visiting from China, she added in conversation when I told my friend I lived in Thailalnd she said, is it true the place is full of whores and why men go there.

I said, you is right, it is in fact Daiseyland of Sex! Is there a problem with your Uncle getting his pipe clean from time to time?

If there is any it quicky goes away once I sitting in a GoGo, knee deep buying drinks!🤣

I don't wish to upset anyone but your description nearly describes where I live. I could add 'no Russians and no Indians' too.

Perhaps the notable exception is the tax-filing part, but nowhere is perfect, is it?

Ah yes, the mythical land with no drunks, no crime, no bad behaviour… and apparently immigration control personally tailored to your preferences too. Sounds less like a country and more like a comments section fantasy.

Garbage attracts garbage,. Common sense
